I like Alia as an actress. I admire her maturity to stand by the quality of her work and understand the fickleness of the box office.

At the same time she should be cautious not to blame the audiences too much. Also, I hope she is aware of the risks of being a star who isn't vested in box office performance. Many promising stars have been sidelined by alienating commercial cinema. It is not a bad thing. If you want quality, then good for her. I wish stars wouldn't sell out. She ought to know though that she is taking a big risk.

I did watch Highway.

It was a nice movie. I liked it.

But the problem is every one in my family LOVES masala entertainment. They hate off beat movies. This is the reason that I have to wait for DVDs for such movies rather than going to the theatre.

There might be many like me and hence even though we enjoy watching off beat movies we are not necessarily contributing to the BO income of that movie. Which is sad but true.

I think this Alia in Highway jaap is getting too much. Yeah she was good in the film, and improved a lot but she still has a long way to go. Her performance was still an average one. Not sure why everyones acting as if she just delivered a Chandani Bar or a Black or something
