Shah Rukh Khan and Dia Mirza shoot for a biscuit commercial

The sight of a biscuit continues to haunt Dia Mirza! The actress, who jumped at the prospect of filming for a biscuit commercial along with Shah Rukh Khan, didn't know what she had bargained for. The story board had Shah Rukh and Dia as lovers trying to kiss and make-up after an ugly spat. While Shah Rukh nibbles on a biscuit, Dia tries biting the same biscuit off his mouth in an attempt to anger him further. The story goes that the finicky actress was uncomfortable enacting the sequence and had her inhibitions about eating a SRK's saliva-soaked biscuit. An eyewitness says, "Dia just couldn't grab the biscuit hanging from Shah Rukh's mouth. She didn't make it obvious but she just couldn't get the shot right."

The short commercial, which would have otherwise taken a few hours to film, stretched to a day-long shoot, as Dia failed to enact the snatch-a-biscuit sequence to perfection. The director of the commercial Vishal Punjabi (from Shah Rukh's production company, Red Chillies) had to keep filming till Dia finally got the shot right. When quizzed about it director Punjabi says: "Dia was embarrassed as it took her a while to take away Shah Rukh's biscuit. But she is very sweet and we had a wonderful time filming the commercial."

Whoever said practice makes you perfect, said it right. After much hard work, Dia pulled it off. Sources indicate that the actors gobbled down over 27 packets of biscuits on that day. Shah Rukh, who swears by his tandoori chicken, didn't even touch his dabba. Director Punjabi says: "I believe they didn't have any lunch or dinner that day as they munched on biscuits all day. I think we had emptied about 27 packets."

Dia Mirza was unavailable for comment.
