Ever since the 90s, AR Rahman has been a sustained brand name and almost a hymn for music lovers. A compilation of his hits till date is undoubtedly an experience of pure bliss, and it is to come to reality this week, on October 2nd. The composer said in an interaction with media that his regular co-artistes like Neeti, Blaaze and Karthik will perform with him at the concert, and that rehearsals are on full swing. "The show is spread over two and half hours and will have about 50 of my songs performed live. The list has been chosen from all my songs since 1990s to date. Most of them will be Tamil songs, while there are a few Hollywood numbers too" Rahman said.
When asked about his son Ameen, on whether he might perform at the concert this week, Rahman only gave a smile. But he did reveal that Ameen might soon get his big break from none other than Mani Ratnam! "Ameen might sing in Mani Ratnam's next. He is receiving many invitations to perform and to sing, but right now I want him to concentrate on his studies" said Rahman, about his little one who stunned everyone at Chennai Film Festival two years ago. It is worth mentioning that Ameen has also sung in his father's composition in 'Couples Retreat'.
