first, thank you for opening my post! Hopefully you will also read my work. This is my first time writing a SS on this forum so I'm a little nervous but also excited at the same time. I've worked on the first chapter for weeks now so I'm hoping you will not hate it. 😊

Chapter 1 - New beginning

Bolenath, since a child, I never asked for much and I never dreamed big but like every girl I also had dreams about my wedding, about my groom and I thought you fulfilled my wishes, bolenath. You gave me a husband in whose eyes I could see honesty and love, a husband who didn't only look kind but also was one by heart. He didn't expect much from me, bolenath. All he asked for was a good life-companion who would love him unconditionally, till the end of time and that moment I believed you had listened to my prayers. He was all I ever asked for and I believed that moment, all my small desires, hopes and dreams would finally come true.
A house I could call my own where I didn't have to take anyones' permission but could do whatever I wanted. A good husband with whom I felt safe and happy with and with whom I would create my own little family- me, him and our two children.

I married the man I had accepted. I took 7 vows whole-hearted with him. A mangalsutra in his name was tied around my neck and my maang was filled with his sindoor. The amount of happiness I felt that very moment within me was indescribable. I believed you finally had given me a life which was going to be filled with joy and love and I embraced it. No more sorrow I believed no more tears I thought but little did I know that this newly found happiness was going to short-lived.
The sindoor in my maang still being fresh and the mehndi on my hands being, not yet properly dried I saw my husband get shoot and killed right in front of my eyes by a BSD-officer.
BSD, who only knew to kill and destroy! These were the same people who killed my parents and made me an orphan at such young age. It's the same people who killed my only friend, Bindi. My husband was also taken away from me by the very same people and now ...

Bolenath, I believed there couldn't be more sorrow written by you in my fate but today my maang is once again filled with sindoor and a mangalsutra is again hanging around my neck. Once again, I had taken the 7 vows, but this time with a man I didn't love. With a man I could never love. Hatred is all I felt. It's all I could feel and will feel for this man till the end of time. He's not what I prayed for- but his name. Rudra. His name is one of yours, bolenath!
You should be careful what you pray for, I have been told, I thought I was but I guess I wasn't careful enough.

Eyes filled with tears, Parvati stood in the other end of the room, in a corner far from where Rudra was sitting, not daring to move an inch. Holding on to her rudraksh she prayed, with her eyes tightly shut as it's all she could do now! She felt like she was screaming and crying for help but no one could hear her.

She quickly glanced over to the bed where he was sitting. She could feel his anger, as it was clearly visible in his eyes. His deep red eyes, more red than fire it was and she knew that the anger within him and the hatred he felt was towards one person, her.

Rudra sat on the bed, holding a glass in one hand, drinking to forget the pain of losing his beloved BSD uniform which he valued more than his life. Today was the 4^th day, the last day he had to justify his actions, by handing in firm evidence against Tejawat- that he is a gun smuggler but he was unsuccessful in doing so. His uniform was the only thing which gave him hope, courage, pride and direction. He was determined on not to lose but to prove in time, that he was right but for the very first time, Major Rudra Pratap Ranawat failed and failure was nothing he was used to and it was all because of one person, Parvati.

A small shriek escaped her lips at the sight of a mouse running past her. The small unintentional movement made by her, made her payal and bangels give away a noise which caught his attention and he looked up from his thinking, straight into her eyes, with so much intensity. She wanted to look away but she couldn't. As he dropped the glass in his hand, which hit the floor and broke, a small sound, again escaped Parvatis' lips. He got up from the bed and began to walk unsteadily towards her without looking away. He couldn't help but to admire her beauty as he looked at her, from top to bottom.

As he approached her, her heart began to beat rapidly and her breathing quickened. Her hold on her rudraksh tightened. She took a step backwards as he took a step towards her. It didn't take long till she hit the wall. She acknowledged how the distance between them was diminishing. Now he was just a couple of steps away from her. Every inch of the body told her to run, but she couldn't as if her feet were firmly glued to the floor. Helplessly she stood in her place, against the wall.

As he was dangerously close, out of fear she turned around facing the wall, hoping he would go away but no, he continued to walk towards her till his body came in contact with hers. He registered how her body was shaking out of fear. He noticed her tightly shut eyes and her soundless prayers from her moving lips. She was trying to prepare herself to face his anger but in vain as Rudra had other plans. He put one hand on the wall, making it impossible for her to run towards the door and with the other hand he roughly undid the dori of her blouse which exposed her back completely to him and her blouse loosened its' hold on her chest. Aghast she opened her eyes, and her breathing came to a halt.
