It indeed is general knowledge, current affairs comes under GK too. And MOM is no new mission. It was launched a good 10 months ago. Even rickshaw drivers in India are aware of this news.

And the fact that she said she wanted a translation goes to say how comfortable she is with her language. If she couldn't hear it well why ask not ask him to repeat in Hindi only? Why English? Even a Katrina answers to questions asked in Hindi. Why can't she?

I didn't know until the news broke out tbh. Neither did a lot of my colleagues but we're not in India so guess it's different.

That said, this was a stupid moment not coz she was unaware, but because of how she responded.

If she had just said, "Oh, sorry guys, I wasn't aware, someone fill me in" it would have been less embarrassing than her reaction which everyone saw right through.

She tried using humor but it didn't work coz it was just lame.

I find it that if you tell people you don't know about something, what can they say? Nothing.

But if you give wrong information or say something it's completely off, then it's mock worthy.

Bebo should just take the former route. Admit she doesn't know.
