I like the people I like and will always be biased towards them. ..
Anyone but a SRK I would have dropped after JTHJ and Sallu after Jai Ho. Instead I will drive for them because I like to see them on the screen. While I do know there are better actors, I will still not take the trouble to drive and see a movie on the big screen unless it appeals to me except when it is an actor I like. Then I blindly go and very few have made the list over the years. That itself is hypocritical if you ask me as I call myself a movie fan.
I also have higher standards for the people I am meh about. I don't particularly hate anyone. I don't know most people but I am indifferent to most. So I am more critical about them especially since I pay to see a movie vs blindly going to movies of people I like to see on the big screen regardless of content.
Is it fair ? Nope. But it is my money and these people are a commodity. It's like certain brands and foods appeal to me. Others have to earn it to make me pay for it. Is it hypocrisy ? I call it being a human being with likes and dislikes. Just the way I roll.
