As far as I read about Mughal emperors apart from Aurangzeb all did janta darshan especially humayun and later ones
I have not seen Akbar once doing janta darsah where they give him petition with issues?
OK this janta darshan usually happened after jharoka darshan
Its similar to CM janta darshan programs of 21st century
So people who have grave issues will go and stand in front of agra fort early morning and after jharoka darshan - personal appearance on tower emperor came down and people with petitions were allowed inside agra fort to hand over petition or tell issues to emperor. Emperor had chief secretary to handle these petitions and assistants too. So emperor listened to issues and took petitions and directed secretary or concerned minister/official to resolve this.
This was not that "bell of justice" of jehangir do not confuse with that. Bell of justice if grave crime/injustice occur to get justice you pull it and emperor or a judge appointed by emperor comes and listens and gives justice. That is different.
Janata darshan was more like you do not have money for daughter marriage, your crops destroyed in rain, you want money to start business, some official not doing your work mostly civil issues not criminal issues.
If Akbar starts this janata darshan than he need not depend on jodha begum to know all issues in empire. Or he has to disguise and roam around agra atleast to know issues.
