Just before leaving the Gurukul, Arijit had spoken to counsellor Anjali Chhabria and said that he knew that the contestants were not going to vote him in and that Rex was responsible for this. Prashant mentions this to the contestants but they do not believe this. In fact, this leads to a quarrel between Qazi and Sandeep.
Arpita is extremely stressed as she is up for public voting for the first time. In a telephone conversation with her mother she breaks down and starts to cry. Qazi's mother and brother visit him at the Gurukul.
After yesterday's confrontation with the faculty over favouring Qazi, headmistress, Ila Arun, calls Qazi in for a chat and tells him in no uncertain terms that he needs to pull up his socks. The three boys feel that it's time that the two girls prove their mettle and challenge Arpita
and Ruprekha to a boxing match with each other. Gurukul has a visitor of
different sorts Tarla Dalal. Vocal coach, Padma talks to Arpita and all other contestants.
She knows that everyone was upset when Arijit had not voted for Shamit. She now wants to know from Arpita if she had not voted for Arijit as Shamit and she were friends or was her decision to vote for Sandeep over Arijit a musical one.
