I love this show! Honestly, it actually depicts teenagers and school life so well - the tantrums, the heart aches, the fights, the friendship! Many of yous have already written this in your post but I can't help but both love and hate certain characters - I think it's more to do with the writer (or writers) of the show who confuse me with how I'm meant to react to these characters. I just love all of them - yes, even that ditzy not-really-blonde-but-blonde- Rose.
I feel like the idea of Fab 5 is somewhat idealised by the Fab 5 members themselves. As a whole, 'Fab 5' is this group who bully others yet they are shown in having strong trust in each other -- but really? I think that's where it gets realistic and so much more depth in that each of the five members are so diverse from each other and that even though they are the same as a group, its like they are perhaps even subconsciously trying to break out of that image. For example, Mukti is such as strong level headed person but I didn't imagine that she'd be the one trying to commit suicide- Cabir and Dhruv have their own secrets, the latter who suffers from unexplanable attacks. Manik and Alya I feel have been in this idealised relationship only because their relationship is a part of the fab 5. I'm so glad that Manik did eventually decide to break up because you can tell that without the fab 5, their relationship didn't mean a thing (or perhaps it wouldn't have lasted that long).
Harshad is another character that I have mixed feelings of: Mukti's ex and yet he was also in the band of brothers with Dhruv and Manik. I want to hate him for deliberately using Navya and Nandini to break up the fab5 and yet at the same time I like that he is different to the 5 -- just like how he let go of his ego to take help from Raghav, and how he says he wants to protect Alya from the fab 5. [which relates back to what I said about fab 5 being an idealised idea, I guess Harshad feels Alya isn't the Alya pre-fab 5 era anymore and he wants to get her out of that].
Onto the shipping wars; by god, I ship everyone with everyone. [which shows actually do that eh?]
I love Manik and Nandini - they have that spark that Manik didn't have with Alya. I like that Nandini pushes his buttons and he pushes hers - until they both suddenly erupt - but yet after that storm, you see more layers to the characters especially Manik who tried to help her with Rishab. [side note, I just love how Nandini cries when she's afraid and is strong when she needs to be! and Niti is adorable =P]
I also like Dhruv and Nandini and its so obvious he is the second lead but to be honest, I don't mind that. Their relationship was formed being wary of Manik -- but I like how Nandini can trust Dhruv and confide in him - I just wish he could open himself up [yknow I wanna know more about Dhruv's personal life and those attacks!]
And okay, I know there are many Dhrunians (I am one too, maybe?) I'm not too worried about that because I've recently begun to ship Dhruv with Alya. Their friendship doesn't need many words and I feel like Dhruv knows how Alya feels without them needing to say anything. That's where I felt Alya and Manik failed because they didn't necessarily talk about how they actually felt - their insecurities, their feelings etc- and hence why it led to their break up. I feel like with Dhruv, Alya doesn't even need to tell him because I guess, he can sense that? This friendship was actually a surprise to me seeing as we knew about Manik/Dhruv's relationship and seen Cabir and Mukti and Mukti/Alya but Dhruv/Alya's were a surprise. I actually wouldn't mind if they get together because I actually don't hate Alya after everything. She's just a girl that has been the consequence of the fab 5.
Mukti and Cabir! Yay these two! They are hilarious and unlike the previous two, their friendship is more out spoken - plus the one liners of these characters are freaking hilarious! Can Mukti please find out about Cabir's secret though!?
Mukti/Harshad: I both hate and like this couple. There's so much anger and so much ego when they're together but I can see the passion they have. I really hope they fix up and find out what went wrong. >.<
Navya/Cabir: I love how Cabir calls her Madhubala and teases her about 'Harshadji' - while I don't mind if Cabir comes out of the closet, I want these two to get together. Comic couple ftw!
ps, I just ship Dhruv and Rose. Lols, she's so annoyingly funny and the way she tried seducing him LMFAO 😆 and Dhruv's face like 😳
