It was the King Khan's show alright. SRK fever swept the UK as thousands of dedicated fans queued for hours together for a mere glimpse (and surprisingly, a chance to meet) their favourite star at the 4th Asian Lifestyle Show in Olympia London.
Not even the UK's biggest sports weekend, Wimbledon tennis finals, the British F1 Grand Prix, Tour de France, the live earth concert and all the road closures around London could dampen the enthusiasm of people coming to see the King Khan.
This special visit of Shah Rukh was facilitated by Carving Dreams Entertainment Pvt Ltd. The 3-day weekend saw over more than 25,000 visitors, which was attended by SRK on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th July.
Fans got a life time opportunity to get up close and personal as he signed autographs, appeared on the two huge stages at the venue, charmed and inter-acted with the crowds, enacted his favourite film dialogues from his recent blockbuster Don, a scene from Devdas, and even sung a few lines from his all time favourite movie – Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge.
SRK's respect and love for his fans was clearly visible as he met as many people as he could, spending time with them.
The Asian Lifestyle Show is a celebration of culture and entertainment launched at London's Olympia in 2004 when it was praised as one of the most successful launch shows at this venue by the Chief Executive of Earls Court and Olympia, Anthony Lyons. The three day spectacle of British Asian culture includes food, fashion shows, music, entertainment and much, much more.
