Wrong historical information..what the heck!

The BV creatives seem to care little for homework when it comes to facts and technical details. In today's episode, they presented a misinformation. It was not Raja Ram Mohan Roy's son who married a widow, nor was it he who started widow re-marriage. He was a crusader against the custom of Sati which he got abolished by Lord Bentinck in 1829.

It was Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar who came along much later to get widow re-marriage legalised by the Hindu Widows Re-marriage Act of 1856. It was HIS only son Narayan Bandopadhyay, and not Rammohan's son, who married a widow.

A serial like BV should show a bit more responsibility. Often information broadcasted on popular media get planted in the subconscious of people watching/reading them, so this kind of callousness is deplorable.

The whole info was about Iswarchandra Vidyasagar ...but they said this is Raja Rammohon Roy...BV makers WTH...🤬they do not do any reserch before showing the craps...😡

Makers should really do some homework while showing such things. It shouldn't be too difficult.

On a serious note, agree. Misinformation is bad for the public, bad for the PH's credibility, but also a discredit to the person who actually did specific things in history when someone else is mentioned instead of him.
