Anu Malik and Alisha were on Extraa Innings this evening in the studio with Mandira Bedi, Charu Sharma, Arjuna Ranatunga and John Wright... They were there to speak of II3... Annu Malik sounded extremely confident that II3 will rock and that they have some amazing singers in the show this time round... He stressed that most singers are aged between 16-19 and are mind blowing... Alisha said that it is her first stint at a reality show as a judge and she is a "fresher" as opposed to the "seasoned" annu malik... She says the emotional saga was a new experience for her and that it is very hard to break someone's dream - but you have to do the job... On being asked if she is a rought & tough kinda judge or a softer one - she says she is a mix of both - when someone is not up to the mark, she lets him know that... but when someone is good, then she is extremely gracious to him... Annu Malik says when someone is good - "u r coming to the theater round", someone bad - "go back home"😉
Both of them also recall some incidents of the auditions... Alisha talks of how she was gifted a teddy bear by a contestant that was probably bigger than herself😛 Annu speaks of a contestant who was rejected by them, he came up to them to shake hands and then snatched a ticket for the next round and ran, annu ran after him and something of that sort...
On being asked about their reaction on India's loss Annu says we r still crying, but dont worry - II3 will make up for all disappointments and make u smile again... Alisha admits that she is clueless about cricket...
According to both of them, this time the female contestants are better than the guys and we might have a female indian idol this time, although there are 1-2 guyz who r amazing singers as well... but it all comes down to who the public votes for...
The other cricketers too followed into the discussion, with annu and alisha pressing charu & mandira to give an audition😆 Sadly they skip the request😉
How can anything involving Annu Malik end without his irritating humming😆 Certainly this one did not😕 HE sang one "mukhada" so typical to annu malik, something that said - indian idol ne balla uthaya, chakka lagaya and stuff😆😆
