It all started with a spark of hatred,
A spark that burnt their dreams into ashes

"You have come a long way, Karma" he says to himself staring at the reflection in the mirror. He blinks his eyes once to shove away the droplets slipping from his eyes. His chest tightens in pain as a painful memory replayed in his mind which made him clench his teeth. He whimpered in pain as Huma's words echoed, "I will never be able to dance again; I will always remain a B Grade actress!!!" Karma muttered under his breath, "She and a B Grade actress... No... Never... This can never be true!!! She is so hot and pretty..." Karma covered his ears and tightly shut his eyes to escape from her thoughts!!! But will his heart let him forget her pain???
It is true that Karma despises her or at least he pretends to loathe her. But the truth is that she is his only bridge or connection with the real world. In all these years he has stayed aloof from everything and everyone around him. No one dared to break his wall and find out what he is, on the inside. But she... She was different!!! She paused and squinted her eyes at him, grabs him from his comfort zone and shakes him from within without any hesitation!!! His world was dead silent, but off late he had been able to hear his own heartbeat whenever a small smile curved on her lips, or his fingertips brushed against her skin. Fear was something Karma had bid adieu to long ago, but her proximity frightens him out of his wits!!! This girl is capable of seeing the second layer of himself, the weaker vulnerable side of him!!! Her eyes darted in all directions as she scans him during their arguments. Karma's senses spiked up, every time she stared at him with that blank expression. Karma is scared to let her know that beneath this independent and headstrong boy there is a lonely soul who is totally broken, burnt and torn by the weight of his past.
Karma Wangchuk knew one thing for sure, that he might be able to live with her hate for the rest of his life, but not with her pain!!! He had this strong urge to pull her into a tight embrace and let out all his fear and insecurities like he did during their bonding trip. He cannot afford to lose her, his arch rival, his enemy. She is his anchor who does not let his ship sink. Every other day when he was on the verge of falling into the dark abyss, she came as a beacon of hope. Yes he hated her for the same reason, she is giving him hope. A hope of having someone to hold onto with her fake friendship promise, a hope of having a chance to live his dreams by showing him the path to win Dance Mania, a hope of having his ambitions take wings by pushing him to D3 dance academy, a hope of dancing through the troubled stage of life by being his ever nosy dance partner!!! Hope is something which Karma dreaded the most in his life. Hope is a sign of weakness for him. Hope is giving someone a chance to break you. Hope is this ultimate desire to live and be loved. How is he suppose to make Huma understand that there is no word called "LIFE" in his world, there is only "SURVIVAL". Life is for the rich, the influential not for someone like HIM. For him being strong was not an option but a compulsion.
Karma grabs his coat from the chair and gives a last look in the mirror. He slips on his shoes and heads out of his room to do something which is so not the strong Karma!!! Every step was heavy as it reminded him of the harsh reality of her words. A mix wave of emotions washed over him at the prospect of meeting her once again after all that transpired between them!!! Karma was visualizing their confrontation in his mind: Will Huma be rooted to her spot when she sees him? Will she slap him for his deeds? Will her eyes start lining with tears smearing the dark black Kohl? Will he be able to resist the urge of wrapping his arms around her when she cries? Will he able to convince her that he did not do anything purposely but out of sheer necessity? Karma heaved a sigh as he approached near her house and as his eyes scanned for his "Shut Up Girl" who has the power to make him totally silent!!!
