Puja's statement!!!

How important do you think good looks and on-stage presentation are?

I don't pay much attention to my presentation on stage. For me perfection of singing and holding the right tune and rhythm is the single most important thing. I believe that one should understand the lyrics of the song and sing it with feeling; performance will shape up automatically. Dancing doesn't work when you're off key. I just pay attention to my expressions and my overall performance is enhanced by it.

how can someone say like dis !!! well v ve seen girls in 2 seasons who were gud peformer plus a gud singer! were all dey mad?? I mean prajakta, neha k, antara.. err der were so many! its juz a lame excuse coz she cant perform on stage! dats wat I feel! (sorry no offence to Puja's fan)

well i feel II is first and foremost about singing and a pretty face and fobulous steps cannot make u an idol . sonu nigam is an example he is first a perfect singer and then a gud performer not the other way around that is why he is an icon. sum conts. who think performance and dance will get them through may win the contest today but the will fall flat in future

But puja sang bad n offkey in first gala even she was not performin! n Indian Idol is da contest in which v r also lookin for performance!

she's after ankita there, not very nice of her. Well what to do, pooja was not very nice to ankita from the start. Anyway if some one can perform as well as sing, then all the glory to them. but so many of the singers do fall flat when they try to do both. As for me, i agree with her when she says dancing doesn't work when your off key. but there are so many singers who do not go off key but perform really well too. Maybe she's not one of those.

the same way people don't spare a chance to criticize puja? she didnt mention ankita's name, was asked about presentation and good looks and just answered the question..for once, she deserves to be given the benefit of doubt!

i ttly agree with u!! People r always jumping on what everyone else says!! they're not talking about wat Ankita or any other contestant says... Look at Lata Mangeshkarji..even today if she sings a song she'll get an award for it..and she's done concerts in the past. she's not performing yet is the most famous singer in India nd Pakistan

Puja is a very confident girl.....she always speaks her mind But unfortunately we Indians don't like confident girls.What she was saying in the interview is absolutely correct.......in a singing competition one should concentrate more on singing than performance.I remember sonuji in the last season used to tell the contestents the same thing 😛
