Deepika didin't demean her, she was asked if SHE would do what Kangana had to do b/c she had no other choice. Deepika said no b/c she gets money from award shows and endorsements. Kangana doesn't feel comfortable performing and hardly got any good endorsement deals despite the critical acclaim/awards. Hence Deepika was speaking about herself. She even said that Kangana's case is different and it's fine what she did.

Deepika wasn't trying to demean her, but I do agree that it came across a little insensitive b/c DP has a beautiful face and successful modelling career and didn't have to struggle for A-list offers or to get her first film like the other 3 did--so I think she could have not said what she did b/c the all come from different backgrounds and DP has been more privileged than the other ones.
