Today is Mahalaya ...which symbolizes with the last day of sradhh period being observed in Hindu religion...it also symbolizes with Devi Durga's triumph over daanavs taking different avatars to save the mankind...it is celebrated by all bengalis who offer tarpan or water offerings in Ganges to all our respective ancestors ..from tomorrow onwards we will start all preparations to welcome Goddess Durga in our homes...😃
