When you girls talk about no Indian roots, that's not strictly correct.
North Indians are the Aryan race and South Indians are Dravidians. Northern India was subject to more invasions from the west, because of the location, and the North Indians have mixed features because many of the invaders settled in India and married locals. Many North Indians can be mistaken for Spanish, Italian and Parsi ... I have been asked if I am Spanish or Parsi on many occasions 😛
Parsis originally came from Iran, they fled to escape religious persecution ... and have been settled in India for generations. In fact currently the largest population of Parsis is in India, and they have made enormous contributions to India's development, Some of the biggest industrial houses of India belong to Parsis, the Tatas being one big example. Parsis are as Indian as any other race in India. Yes, their features are very Iranian because of their heritage, and they have been preserved because Parsis are not allowed to marry into other communities ... so unlike the Aryans, there has been very little intermingling of race with other Indian races. This is similar to the Dravidians, who also did not intermarry hence they retain their very 'Indian' features.
Parsis speak more Gujarati and English ... Sanaya mentioned in an interview that her grandmother speaks Gujarati. But most Parsis are very well educated, and are by and large English speaking. Hindi is not their native tongue, even though the majority live in Maharashtra and Gujarat.
