This is often a thought that slips peoples mind when thinking about the upcomming Book. People usually tend to focus on the big things such as who RAB is and is Sirius alive, etc. but i think that it will be some of the little things the JKR has skillfull hidden in the previous book that will reallt make the final installment of the Harry Potter series.

So what do you think? What mysteries do you think Petunia holds?

I do not tihnk that she is a witch, but you never know. Both Colin and Denis Creevey have Muggle parentage but they are both wizards. In Petunia's case from what we know Lily was the only Witch sibling of the muggle parents, but we have not been assured that the case is not like the Creevys. Or maybe she Harry is not her only Wizard relative, save Lily. But thats a different story altogether.

Jo has squashed the rumors of Petunia being a squib, but she said that: A squib is a very good guess.

We have been told that petunia is not a squib, but it is a very good. Petunia cannot be a witch, because if she was then Dudley would be a half blood wizard, and we know that this cannot be true because if he was, then the night that he and harry got attacked ny the dementor's, he would have been able to see them instead of blindly trying to strike thin air. However it is shocking how accurately Dudley described the Dementors presence, although he could not see the dementor the experienced the same types af effects of a dementor that a "squib" would. But the a different story altogether.

So...do you think that Petunia knows something which she learned through Dumbledore? She did make a deal with him, however, the full details of the deal...we don't yet know fully. Maybe that might have some bearing on the topic of the ancient magic which Dumbledore used on baby Harry...

I think that Petunia does know about something that she learnt from Dumbledore. Dont you think that it is hard to believe that Petunia would agree to let Harry in to stay with her just out of the pure love that she had for he sister? Especially the child of the sister that she knew was murdered by a powerful wizard who had tryed to kill Harry also, do you think that she would put her family in danger just to provide a home for the nephew that she despised? This brings us to the question if Dumbledore and Petunia made a deal. There had to be something in it for her to take in Harry, which would mean putting her family in danger. The Dursleys have always wanted to stay away from magic and they've especially wanted to keep Dudley away from it. Maybe the deal was that if Petunia kept Harry, that Dumbledore would agree to keep Dudley awau from magic 😉, if ya get what i mean. But that a different story altogether.

And consequently, what effect will it have in the 'Harry vs. Voldemort' battle? Will it help him survive and defeat Voldemort, in any way, however small it may be?

I think Petunia will have a major effect on Harry in one way or another. Although Petunis gives the impression that she hates magic and everything to do with it, but she has been know to let things slip and as xMarauderx has said above Harry has been shocked to hear these things. Petunia is Lily's sister and therefore even if they are not close she is bound to know things about her that nobody else knows, i think that Petunia may reveal one of those "significant" things about Lily that JKR has Clued us about. Or maybe she may reaveal something "special" about Dudley. But thats a different story altogether.

Voldemort is said with a silent "T" you say it like Voldemore. Thats another blooper for the Harry Potter films, because they say the "T" at the end.

Petunia knows how she can help harry and the fact that she and harry have the same blood.

However JK Rowling has also said dis that nor Petunia has ever done magic nor she would every do it. So i doubt petunia is a squib.

Maybe. And maybe know she will tell harry many secrets which dumbledore cudnt tell harry before deing. She mite know how he can win his final battle against voldmort.

As i said before it may, because before deing, dumbledore mite have told many important things to petunia which she mite tell harry now.

I guess she knows lots of stuff, maybe some secrets too, which Dumbly told her so that she understands the situation Harry n the magical wrld is in . I don't think she's a witch, or even a Squib, but she might know something that Dumbly wanted to tell Harry, but didn't have the time to cos of his unexpected death.

Yeah, it was a good guess, considering that Rowling said long b4 that Petunia is not a witch at all...so, the idea of a Squib is a good one. But, if she was, then her son would have been either a Squib/wizard, and he has no such powers, so it is a safe guess to say that Petunia is a complete muggle, and so is her entire family except Lily.

Yes, I think Dumbly did tell her some 'secrets' to make sure she understood Harry's position and that this blood relation thing could be the only thing that could help protect him. But, considering that she wants nothing to do with magic, I don't get why she would want to help protect Harry. I don't think that Dumbly would have threatened her to keep Harry, so there has to be some reason behind her doing it.

There must be something that Petunia knows that could be the only thing that would help Harry kill Voldy and save the magical world. There are some things that Dumbly did not tell Harry about, and there must be something else in that letter which Dumbly had left for Petunia long ago when her left Harry with them

While, Petunia, for the most times, pretends to blissfully ignore the existence of the magical world, and makes it seem as though she isn't even aware of its existence. And yet, sometimes, she lets slip things, which surprise Harry and make the readers aware that Ptunia isn't all what she pretends to be: a simple "normal house wife...

She seems to know things, and she has been in correspondence(even though unwillingly) with Dumbledore.

I once read a FF n it mentioned that Petuina was a

witch. She, had gotten her letter before, but, tought

that it was bogus, n never replied. She also diden't

tell anyone cause she was afraid that they would think that

she was "diffrent/wored"...

about Harry. (I know this sounds very lame.. lol)
