At least the films her father and sister produce are heroine oriented and the guys are usually playing second fiddle to her. Shouldn't we appreciate that since majority if not all films in Bollywood are centered around the hero.

Let me make this clear. Sonam is not top heroine material. With her work life balance & her work ethics reaching top is not going to happen. But she will be around she will garner attention she will be famous but just not numero uno! She has been doing films with debutantes in Bollywood or offbeat actors! The only film she has with a top hero is that Salman starrer!

And she has a big following among girls, young girls and kids. They are not going anywhere. I will be her fan and watch her films when she is 50 :-)

And she will be remembered. For her fashion for her statements and for the kind of films she did and why. 30 years from now her career will be a interesting case study :-)

Nobody is called an icon for merely lasting in industry. Abhishek lasted for 14 years. He will stick around. But no one will call him icon. Same for Sonam.

The other actresses you named had massive star power and gave many hits on their own. They carried films on their shoulders. Sonam types are not included in such lists. They are also rans like Neelam or Shilpa Shetty.

Sonam has no identity except being a fashionista, Anil's daughter.
