Ishita had decided to unite the brother sister duo, Mihir and Sanjana. They were, after all siblings and they deserved to be together and happy. She wanted them to sort out whatever differences they had and get united as a family once again. But when Sanjana informed her that Raman was the reason for the differences between her and Mihir, Ishta was shattered. Her first instinct was to deny it, but then why would Sanjana lie? She was afterall Mihir's sister. Ishita felt a pain like never before. A pain of not being trusted by the person she had slowly grown to love, a person she trusted more than anyone else. Why Raman? Why did you not trust me? Was I not able to make you trust me? Do I mean nothing to you? All of these were questions going through her mind. But enough was enough. If Raman did not want to share his past with her, she would not ask him either. But she was determined to unite Mihir and Sanjana, and so she invited her to the tilak ceremony. After all she had seen the pain of separation in both Mihir and Sanjana's eyes. She would do what she had to do in order to bring back their lost happiness.
But things do not always turn out as planned, and that was exactly what happened here. The presence of Sanjana in the tilak ceremony and Ishita's declaration that Raman was the cause for the brother sister separation brought out a whole new truth to the fore. It was not Sanjana, but Shagun who was Mihir's sister and Sanjana was just a small player planted by Shagun. Though Ishita was absolutely shocked by that revelation, what hurt her most was the look on Raman's face. His face was etched in pain of not being trusted; of being accused of breaking a family.
While all the drama was taking place, Raman quietly slipped out of the hall and went to the terrace. He could not believe that Ishita would believe him to be capable of such deceit. That she would think he would willingly breakup a family without any remorse. He'd thought that over the past few months they had started to understand and trust each other. But maybe he was wrong. Maybe Ishita still considered him to be the Ravan Kumar who would not think twice without anyone. He was a fool; a fool to have thought that there was something more that Sirf Ruhi ke Liye' between; that there could ever be anything more between them.
Raman' called out Ishita. She had followed him to the terrace and seen him sitting in a defeated posture, his back towards her. She did not know what to say; how to apologize. She had hurt him yet again. Why was it that she always ended up hurting him when all she wanted to do was protect him from every hurt that could touch him? She wanted to be his protector but always ended up being his tormentor. How did she sorry when she knew that a sorry was not enough this time. Would he understand her if she told him that she was hurt; hurt because she thought Raman had a past that she was unaware of? Would he understand her if she told him that her anger stem from the fear that she could loose him forever? But how could she explain these feelings to him when she herself was not sure what it was. So she did the only thing she could at that moment. She apologized. I am s..sorry Raman.'
Why'...that was all Raman could say. Why should I forgive you? Who am I to forgive you? In fact why should you ask for forgiveness? It is I who is at fault isn't it? I am the one who separated Mihir from his family. I am the one who lied. I am a liar; a home breaker...isn't that what you think of me? Then why the hell should you apologize?
That was it. Raman's words, his hurt was more than she could take. I am sorry Raman...I am sorry I didn't trust you; sorry I believed Sanjana over you; sorry for thinking you would hide something so big from me...I have nothing to say that will justify my actions, but please, just once please forgive me Raman...I am sorry!
Why Ishita? Why is my forgiveness so important to you...why does it matter to you if I forgive you or not...tell me Ishita...why the hell does it matter to you??
It matters Raman...It matters because I...
Because you what Ishita?
Nothing...
Because you what Ishita?
Ishita ran away from there with a red face burning with embarrassment and excitement leaving behind an amused Raman with a slight smile on his face.
Maybe there was still hope afterall...
