Even Ishaani knows her and Chirag's relationship has no future

After watching the episode today I feel Ishaani knows her engagement won't work. Psychologically, her unconscious brain knows this and perceives as well but it's too a horrible thought to entertain her concious brain. She's been through a lot. Her father's death, loss of money home and even her "best-buddy". All this left her devastated and insecure. She wants to feel protected and loved: the same feeling she got when Ranveer and Harshad were around. While this protection or safety is merely an illusion, she doesn't want to come out of it. The way she didn't think of Chirag in her worst need doesn't convice me that she really loves Chirag. She just "thinks" she loves him because not thinking so would make her realize the reality that she's all alone and would break apart. Probably she fears the breakdown because of her family who depend on her for their needs! What do you all think?

I don't agree. She's so involved with Chirag - she's not able to think beyond him. She doesn't look forward towards anyone except Chirag - she's not even listening to her mothers advice. No. Ishaani is not able to see anything beyond Chirag because she doesn't want to. Being with him gives her a sense of protection. The people she lives with do not provide her emotional support. Her mother does not understand her properly and she is not close to other family members(once she'd said she and Ranveer are outsiders in this home or something like this). Chirag despite his lies is able to convice her that he cares about her. She, having faced terrible loss, trusts him like a child. But her unconscious mind is fully aware of the failure of her relationship. If Chirag would be worried was her real concern, she atleast could have thought of him once and rejected the thought for the reason you mentioned. When a person loves another(not just romantic) he or she remembers them in their bad times. Ishaani didn't think of Chirag. His name came to her mind when she was not desperate and tensed as much. The thing is: she doesn't love Chirag as much she thinks she does. She feels protected because of her past experiences with him nothing more.
