I recently read ZGH in roman script. I liked serial's zaroon than the book. I liked the fact that sultana siddique changed the library scene and make Kashaf stop Zaroon to slap her. Books zaroon is more MCP than serial. I serial Zaroon is more understanding than the book one. In book he slapped Kashaf twice. Second time it was after marriage. He burned Kashaf's saree because he did not like the color of the saree. Even he proudly said Ashmara that Kashaf polishes his shoes. I found it very disgusting. A woman like Kashaf was polishing her husbands shoes. Kashaf said that she never shared her problems with zaroon that made her place better. She tolerated all taunting of zaroons mother to make her relationship better. Its important to tolerate but not all time. zaroon is happy that kashaf changed herself for him. She does not have any social life except family. Is it a crime to have a social life outside family? I dont understand.

Serial's Kashaf has more stronger personality than the book. Serial's Zaroon is also more understanding. The discussions about Zaroon Kashaf after marriage during dinner was fabulous. I found it very mature In serial zaroo never imposed anything forcefully on Kashaf and never wanted her to change her. In serial it was showed that they have two daughter which i found more meaningful. Sultana Siddique made Zaroon's character more beautiful which made audience love Zaroon unconditionally

this is just my views. i did not read urdu one as i cannot read urdu. I read one which was written in urdu but in roman script.

Hmm,yes I too have read these things about Zaroon's character in the novel. So glad that they missed those things in the show.
I now feel that somewhere feel that in order to alter these things they kind of messed in the last episodes.

I have not read the book but read the comments of those who have read the book earlier before watching serial. They were saying book is much better than serial.
It depends upon what you go through first ,serial or novel.Accordingly your point of view will be,I suppose.

In the book Zaroon got to know that Kashaf's Brother in law's proposal came for her not for her sister. He suspected that kashaf and her BIL might like each other. He wanted a woman in his life who did not have any man in her life except her. When Zaroon pointed about Kashaf's character Kashaf could not control herself and she said that Zaroon already had much "ayaishi"(fun) with girls in his life before marriage. So he did not have any right to point finger at Kashaf's character. That made Zaroon angry and he slapped Kashaf.

Yes the makers had toned down Zaroon's character from the way he is shown in the novel. Even in the show some characteristics of Zaroon were hard to digest and it's coz Fawad played Zaroon tht he made the character endearing.

thanks a lot for answering 😊
one more question in the novel what made zaroon wish to marry kashaf , did he fall in love with her ? and why did kashaf agree after being slapped by him?
