The cliff part was shot wonderfully..I am glad they didn't go for a lambaaa chodaaa eye-lock there. Nandini's utter shock at being stuck in a situation and Manik's resolve to get her out of there, wonderfully done by Niti and Parth! The way Nandini broke down completely and was shaking while crying was just so so so real! That is how one feels and cries after being in a situation like this. Usually I hate the repeated crying scenes for the girls but Niti nails those scenes so it's always a joy to see her cry. No..I am not a sadist!!
The 'hug'. Seeing Manik feel so helpless as she continued crying despite his stern assurance that all's well now, I had a feeling that even he'd start crying just to surprise her so much that she'd stop crying. But that split second look he had on his face before he went in to draw her close, like he was marvelling at her ability to be able to cry so freely and just there, for that one moment, loving her so unreservedly...ahhh..my heart turned to all mush <3 Thankfully, Ishq Bulava did not play there. I love the song but it's getting repetitive to the point of annoying now..KY2 has some beautiful BG scores and sometimes music should be wordless and non-Bollywood.
Manik realized mid-way just what he was going to do and he stopped. But the position was so awkward for him. He could've pulled back and acted like nothing happened by being his usual stern self and demanding that she get a grip but he didn't want to leave her alone like that, not without making sure that she gonna be alright. The hands which had wanted to go all around her, ended up just tapping her shoulders. If it's the thought that counts, then his thought was priceless. His action was simply precious. His subconscious is self tuning itself to Nandini and her moods and it's completely rebelling against Manik's logic. How I love that..
Harshad comes and spews his bitter words. The scene in itself is so typical of Harshad but what happens later simply took my heart away! Harshad going to Nandini and apologizing regarding his conduct. SEE! He does care about the girls! Yeah, he seems to be using them but his apology here was genuine! THANK YOU HARSHAD!! He is going through his own helpless phase as well, just like Manik. He can't help insulting Manik, wanting to hurt him, to take every chance to hit him where it would hurt him the most. Till now I thought his anmosity with Manik was due to some Mukti related issue, but Harshad having the same FB which Manik had at the start of the show, total plot twist! So did NOT see that coming. The three 'brothers' actually were Manik, Dhruv and Harshad! Damn it! My curiosity just got increased! WHAT HAPPENED IN THE PAST?! How did it start?! How did it come to this place where Harshad can't help but hurt Manik and ends up sharing some of the pain as well! The little boys who swore to be brothers..how did they grow up to become into men who want to annihilate each other. And why is Dhruv a non-active part of this? Why all fires aimed at Manik? CVs! You better give me good answers for this!! Though I suppose they will..with the way they are revealing pieces bit by bit and keeping the interest in the back story fresh and alive. At least they aren't giving vibes ke they will just put a random event as a backdrop of this animosity when the time comes, it genuinely feels like they have a tale to tell.
YUSS! Cabir-Raghav hints getting canon! Something is defo cooking between the two! But for now, it's just another secret.
Woohoo for assertive Dhruv! Topi Boy! Tussi tou chaa gaye! He came and took Nandini away by her hand. Finally, they had their first scene where the talk came straight from the heart. Agreed that even this had mentions of Manik but nowadays Manik is everywhere in Nandini's life, she can't take him out of it. I loved the placement of this scene. Nandini was still on the edgy. The cliff incident had visibly shaken her and she was not alright. At that vulnerable time, one does speak like that. When she found a source of calm in Dhruv, she spilled her heart out. Her discomfort at always being stuck in trouble, her tiredness of fighting from everything; it was wonderful to see her initially act alright but just a little probing from Dhruv had her spilling everything out.
Manik, on the other hand, looked like a deewana majnu 🤣 He is questioning his own self; why does he do what he's been doing recently? Why this sudden lack of control over himself? Why for Nandini?! Why, why, why? And he has no answers. He is agitated and touchy and reminds me of a blast ended skrewt...had it been anyone other than Dhruv to approach him then, he pakka would've chopped his head off xD
It's clear that Dhruv wants no drama from Manik and Nandini. He just wants things to be normal so he can be at peace and not be constantly on the lookout for another trouble they land up in. He doesn't want to always act like the middle man and sort their issues. He just wants them to talk, get it over with, and move on. But wo MaNan hi kya jo aisi harkat karen. Things don't seem too bright in their land though. Their bickering is back to the way it used to be but I guess it's owing to their own inner frustrations getting out. This incident has proved two things, one that Nandini is tired of always getting into trouble with Manik and second that Manik is losing his self-control when Nandini is concerned. Harshad's words were so spot on - he was never the one put in trouble for the damsel in distress but Nandini is one damsel he just can not see in distress. Why's that? This why is gonna cast Manik so much of his sanity..
