I have got my own general views on the show and characters. It's visible that I like Dhruv and that's why I like Dhruni too. But WAY WAY more than Dhruni I like Manik-Dhruv friendship. One has to be blessed to have a friend like how Manik is to Dhruv. I'm yet to like Manik as an individual. His earlier tortures had me have a heavy negative influence about him. Manik is changing that's true. But I will take more time to start liking him individually. And I have obvious reasons. I totally agree on Manan part, Nandini is surprisingly less-uncomfortable in front of Manik 😆 I know they are THE PAIR OF THE SHOW but still things from past have remained unsorted even till now. I'm a general viewer who doesn't really have favorites but finds Dhruni more lovable only because how different and better Dhruv has been to Nandini compared to Manik. And I Do think Dhruv deserves Nandini better. But hey that could change anytime. I'm waiting to see a "better person" Manik , who will genuinely feel sorry for his misdeeds in past. Manan are a wonderful pair and only Manik as an individual remains for me to be developed so that I can start liking Manan in general.

Everyone has a different approach to the show and that's why I love the forum system! So many POVs on one topic gather and it becomes a whole kuch meri sunn, kuch apni sunna scenario (of course if done in an amiable way like this discussion was) and the show becomes so much more interesting. At least for me that's the case. You have all the right to NOT like Manik, arey koi iron clad rule nahin ke always like the lead guy! And your reasons are obviously correct. Manik was a horrible, disgusting person in the beginning. No one can refute that. But, as I said above, it's all about approaches. When I saw that monster, I got interested in what his possible redeeming qualities like because after his behavior, trust me..you need a LOT more than just a few xD

That's what makes this show interesting - progress. Take any character from day one to today, you'd see progress. Manik is becoming human albeit super slowly, Nandini is taking charge like she was meant to, Dhruv is being more open...rest all Fab5 are getting their own layers revealead one by one. More than the story, it's all about the journey of these characters. From the start to the point where all things will make sense and ties will be bound. How these characters and the relationships they change be tested and changed and triumphed. I think ultimately that's all what Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan is all about. Much more than just a love story or a love triangle..it's about he bond that all these characters share and how they are all interrelated.

Yeah...I went WAAAYYY off tangent here but I loved discussing with you! I always love, appreciate and WELCOME healthy discussions with people from opposing views. Ultimately we can all agree to disagree but as long as the discussion is done healthily and with respect, I'm always gonna take part in it.

How old are Manik and Alya if they have been dating for 7 years, they should be atleast 19, otherwise they would have started dating at age 10 or 11. Nandu is 17, that's been established.

Yes, I completely agree with what you said about Alya-Manik as a couple. TBH, you are someone who really, really understand Manik well. It's just when I picture myself, or any girl, in Alya's position, I can really feel what she is going through. This is a girl who has been with a guy for half her life. I mean, how old are they now? They are in first year of college, right? So, if they are around nineteen, we can safely assume that Manik-Alya got together when they were twelve year's old. Twelve! Manik is almost throwing seven years with a girl away for a girl he barely knows. Yes, he is still a boy who is confused. We shouldn't expect so much from him. But I can also understand why Alya does what she does.

I feel bad when I see Manik refusing to give any explanation to the girl he's been with since forever. I would be extremely annoyed if my boyfriend pulled something like this on me.

I understand Manik. I do. I know hoe confused and messy he's about relationships. But the way he's dealing with Alya and their relationship, will ruin a lot of things for him.

Manik needs to let her go. Give her an explanation. But he can't do that either. So, everyone will suffer in the process. Manik is such a confused, lonely boy at heart.

Lol, I know man. Neeti did post a picture with Parth saying he's so tall, but Nandini doesn't seem to notice. Manik notices though. Manik notices everything about her. I mean, really. In every group get-together, it's hilarious seeing Parth tower over everyone else. Tall-short couples give me the feels, man. All the feels.

Ah, so I am not the only one. Good to know. Parth-Utkarsh share this intense, eyelock thing with one another which makes me all melty. I cannot stop picturing Manik just pushing Dhruv and telling him, you're mine. Look at me. Be with me.

I don't know how right my understanding of Manik is. Just that in my head, that's how Manik is. And I also get Alya, to be treated this way really, truly sucks. All the girl needs is some explanation and assurance with proof that it's all in her head but what she gets is anything but that. BUT, that doesn't mean I would write Manik off just like that.

If Alya has been in a relationship with him for 7 years, then so has Manik. It wasn't like he was sleeping around and being cozy with all these girls falling for him. He stayed with Alya and made sure everyone knew that. He was loyal. Hypothetically if their relationship has been from 12-19, just imagine how many firsts Manik and Alya shared. She is his first girl, probably first kiss, first date to prom, first girl he wrote a song for, first girl he gifted something, first girl he arranged a date for...you can't just take that away from Manik. yeah, right now he's acting like an ass when it comes to Alya but he never stops caring. Abhi he doesn't know how to deal with her tantrums as well as his own tornado of emotions.

I'm not blaming Alya in this situation because she is not wrong but it's not wrong for Manik to ask for some space and trust as well. He repeatedly tells her that what she thinks is not the case but she doesn't let go. And couples go through fights like that. Manik was obviously bothered by it. It was evident in the way he steered away from Nandini topic with Cabir and focused his attention on the more pressing matter at hand - Alya not talking to him. Manik has the toughest time talking about his emotions in detail. He can do so well with Dhruv cuz well..he's Dhruv but with anyone else, the guy becomes agitated and nervous. And I don't think Manik ever shared this deep, understanding wala relationship with Alya. Alya was always more in love with him. He likes her, has affection for her but not this love which makes two people soulmates. Ultimately, it's Alya who is bound to get the rough deal outta everything that is happening.

Seriously dude, NOT helping. Already it's hard for me to ignore the super subtext between Dhruv and Manik and if you'll speak of scenes like that...I'd be a mess. But think about it, we have seen Manik being all dominant with Dhruv...wouldn't it be fun if DHRUV was the one doing the pushing and face holding and whispering, "mine. all mine."

I think Fab5 aren't freshers so they are either 18 or 19. Nandini and Navya started college this year but Fab5 ka hold on S.P.A.C.E was already strong and students around there knew of Manik and Harshad's famous fights as well. Plus Fab5 have already won an annual competition so canonical hints point to them being either in second year or seniors...I know in HYD canon F4 were a year senior than Tsukushi..

With regards to Alya and Manik's relationship, I think its pretty much what happens in relationships that start early and last long. One half of the relationship, changes as a person and the other half remains stagnant and unchanged. Here Manik , has changed as a person and Nandu has been the catalyst, while Alya has remained unchanged and hence the conflict in their relationship. Manik is in denial, I don't think he denies for the sake of denying, I do think he genuinely believes he doesn't feel anything for Nandu though contrary to all the emotions he feels for her. I think his relationship with Alya started off as a young first crush and she became a part of his group and it continued. Manik only has had extreme feelings of love for one person and that is Dhruv. Even with Alya, its kind of obvious that he cares for her but is not in love with her. Sometimes when you are in a relationship for a long time, you just hold on despite the relationship not working, because its such a comfort factor and you don;t want to deal with the fallout of breaking such a long relationship. I do feel for Alya, but I kind of understand how it happens also.

Fab5 bonded as kids coming from broken homes albeit Cabir (mom's a sweetheart, so there might be a deeper issue). They created this bubble for themselves that definitely helped them cope in the past, seems to be their undoing now. As all was hunky dory in their utopian world, they never found the need to introspect nor question each other. Sadly, I feel that they were never really on the same page ever (i hope I'm wrong).

SOOO I'm not the only one who's thinking over Maanik's 'I'm the bad one' line. About Parth, man what else to say. He is one actor who has more or less everything going for him, but it's his acting which makes him look so wonderful! Also, ever noticed how EVERY second telly actor says 'anyways' (incorrect) and Parth says 'anyway' (correct) every time? Diction also matters and he scores in that front as well! 👏

Dhruv and Nadu's scene cracked me up despite its cuteness quotient! 🤣 Dhruv be like 'to touch or not to touch' 'to blow or not to blow'. 🤣 I'm 100% sure that he never had a g.f in his life. Kisi ladki ne usse pasand kia bhi hoga toh Maanik k darr se bhaag gayi hogi. Nandu is the only exception. The result- even Maanik is drawn towards her! 🤣 Poor Dhruv.

For now Raghav-Cabir seem to have more chemistry than all the couples/potential couples in this show put together!

Kind of like, they grew old together but they didn't grow up together. Their wavelengths don't match that much. It's obvious that the two of them want two very different things from their relationship and that is always the trouble sign. The fact is that there doesn't seem to be any solution where a compromise can be reached, not when Manik is getting farther and farther away from Alya..figruatively and very soon, literally.
