She dropped Aarav to his new school and waited till he entered the building. This was one of the best school in the country and she knew what her husband's standards are which made him get Aarav admitted here. He will never compromise with education.

Since Arnav was out for few hours she thought of shopping something for him. He was giving her so much after their re-marriage and she wanted to thank him officially gifting what he may like . She entered the a gift store and was checking what can she buy. Her phone rang. It was his call.

Khushi: Hello.

Arnav: Dropped Aarav to school?

Khushi: Yes. He was missing you though.

Arnav: I missed it too. I promise to drop him every day from tomorrow.

Khushi: Stealing my share?

Arnav chuckled.

Arnav: Wont mind if you join me too everyday to drop him.

Khushi smiled.

Khushi: Who will drop me back home then?

Arnav: Ofcourse your husband. I cannot let anyone else do that.

Khushi: Mr Possessive, concentrate on work. You had important meeting and thats why I allowed you leave.

Arnav: Yeah I know. Just took a 10 minute break. Where are you?

Khushi: At a store.

Arnav: Store? You wanted to shop something.? If you could wait , we can go together today evening.

Khushi: Thanks for the offer Arnav but I am fine. I will be back home in an hour. And you?

Arnav: Same time. How about a lunch outside?

Khushi: I thought you missed my cooking and will like to eat home.

Arnav: I have a lifetime for that.

She was already blushing.

Arnav: So lets meet at the same hotel where I took you out for dinner the first time we got married.

Khushi: I have stopped liking Sushi. It doesnt taste good to my tongue like before.

Arnav: Aah I see. Then where? You decide

Khushi: How about Pizza's ?

Arnav: Thats Junk and I want you to eat healthy.

Khushi: I am healthy. Even the Dr said. She thinks I can easily manage the second pregnancy too with this health.

That was a slip of tongue. She realised it too late because he already started planning for it in his mind. Aarav always wanted a sister. Did he? But he remained silent waiting for her to change this topic because extending it would make her feel uneasy. He was giving her time though this was very difficult.

Khushi: Uhh. Okay I am done here. I will pay the bill. You text me where you want to meet for Lunch. I will be there.

Arnav: Pizza's wont be that bad if once a month. See you at the Pizza store by 01:00.

Khushi: Great. Bye.

She purposely lied to him that she had finished shopping. There was still a gap between them which had to fill up before she can be comfortable to talk on such topics, forget getting involved physically.

Arnav pulled a chair for her and then sat beside her. The Store was luckily not crowded and they got some privacy at this corner table.

Arnav: So ? What to order?

Khushi: Handtossed Pizza with extra cheese and Olive toppings.

Arnav: EXTRA CHEESE? Now I get why you have put On a bit.

He placed the order while she grinned at his comment. They felt like newly engaged couples who had so much to share and talk amidst all this blushes and uneasiness.

Khushi: The last time I enjoyed a handtossed Pizza was with Rohan. It was his birthday treat and I couldnt resist when he said the party is at the Pizza store.

Arnav's brow twitched high.

Arnav: Rohan? Whose he ?

Khushi: Ohh . I didnt tell you about him, did I? Rohan was my classmate. We were together since our school days.

Arnav: And?

Khushi: And after I settled in Lucknow with Maa, we met again after a long span.

Arnav: And?

The order was placed a the table and Khushi started cutting her piece.

Khushi: And he was mad at me for doing an arrange marriage which ended up in a Divorce.

Arnav: And?

he didnt even touch his plate yet. Not until she tells him clearly everything he wanted to know.

Khushi: And he was the one who helped me come out of my grief. Those days I hadnt met Aki .. So he was the only one who actually took care of me during my Pregnancy. Ofcourse Mumma was there but he was like a moral support.

Arnav: And?

Khushi stopped eating at looked at his plate .

Khushi: And what? You havnt even started yet. Eat. Its nice.

Arnav: And KHUSHI?

He was pointing her to continue because this was like a matter of life and death now. The way she potrayed that Rohan doesnt seem he was just a friend. Khushi was quiet for some seconds and then she knew what he meant.

Khushi: And he was not my boyfriend. Dont worry. He and I were just good friends. Thats all.

Arnav could then take a sigh of relief . She smiled when he concentrated on his plate and started cuting a peice .

Khushi: But he liked me. Infact he said he would have proposed me too if I had allowed.

Arnav: Well, thats secondary to me. I know you would never allow anyone in your life other than me.

Khushi: Over confident. You think I loved you even after the Divorce? I was mad at you Arnav, I was angry and feeling pity for myself for being your wife of 4 months with a baby in my bump.

He felt her anger rising and her eyes were stretching wide.

Arnav: You think I was reminiscing those loving moments between us ? I was mad too because you didnt give me a second chance . I asked you to stay back,didnt I?

Khushi: Asking and making me feel you needed me are two different things Arnav.

Arnav: Yea right. Thats what I realised in these span of 5 years. So this time I didnt ask. I made you know how much I need you back in my life. I was incomplete without you Khushi. I just wanted you back in all possible ways. I tried winning you back. Thats all I could do.

There was a pause again. They kept looking in each others eyes. Her hand automatically wrapped over his fist on the table and she pressed it softly

Khushi: And you passed. I felt your need for me Arnav. I am honoured what I couldnt see then, I can see it now in your eyes, in your talks, in your behaviour and most importantly in your ways to make me feel loved. So.. Thank you . I always wished this kind of relationship between us and finally I have acheived that .

Arnav's throat was filled with tears which he gulped down placing his hand on hers.

Arnav: Never leave me again. I cant stay alive.

Khushi: So wouldnt I.

They both passed a warm smile to each other. THe waiter came and disturbing this emotional conversation.

Waiter: Any Dessert Sir?

Arnav: Uhh. Maam will place the order.

He extended Khushi to check the Menu and order something she likes. She didnt had to check it. She knew what she wanted. A chocolate brownie with vanilla icecream at the top. But today she didnt eat it all alone, she shared it with her husband who willingly allowed her feed him.

Few more days passed. Arnav and Khushi's relationship was slowly taking a turn towards positiveness. They were opening up to each other's needs at least the ones which were not related to physical closeness. She was still very uncomfortable thinking how that can be sorted out between them? She allowed time and destiny to bridge that gap because she was too confused to make this attempt from her end. Arnav was just back from the Office and had told her about the party they had to attend tonight.

Khushi: Party? But what will I do there?

She took his Suit outside the closet and placed it on bed.

Arnav: What every wives does Khushi. Just accompany your husband, meet people he knows and dance with him if you are comfortable.

He was just playing with words and she knew that very well.

Khushi: You will be busy meeting your partners and competitors clicking pictures with them. I dont want to feel left out. And Aarav will be alone here. So you go and enjoy, I will join you some other time.

Arnav realised why she said all that. This had happened initially when he took her out for party. That was the last time she thought she would be part of his official celeberations. He picked his phone and dialed someone. Khushi kept watching.

Arnav: Aman. Uhh .I am not coming for the Party. I will ask my Secretary to decline that invitation and just send some flowers on our behalf.

Khushi snatched the phone from him.

Khushi: Arnav dont do this. Please.

Arnav: You took your decision, I took mine. We are equal.

Khushi: But you cannot skip it only because I am not being a part of it.

Arnav slid his arms around her waist and pulled her hard on his chest .She gasped . Her eyes finding an answer to the question she just asked him.

Arnav: You are my World Khushi. And I prefer staying here than suffocating alone there without you.

She felt like crushing herself into his body , that high was the impact of his said words on her.

Khushi: I wont let you suffocate either. So. I am coming.

Arnav: I hope I am not forcing you.

Khushi: No. Its my honour to give you a company there. What should I wear?

Arnav: Saree? Havnt seen you in one since our re-marriage.

Khushi: Okay. Give me few minutes, I will be ready.

Arnav: I never stopped.

He purposely lied. How was she supposed to get ready when he was holding her so close to him? SHe had to give him a soft push and then she chose a green saree to match the look of his Black formal Suit. He was just watching her all the time she made this selection. She turned around

Khushi: I have to change Arnav.

Arnav: Go ahead.

Khushi blushed hard.

Khushi: I cant wear it in Bathroom. So would you mind leaving the room for a while ?

Arnav: Should I?

Khushi: Yes. I dont want to feel conscious.

Arnav passed a smirk. He knew their relationship was still not back to that level when she can change before him in one room, within the closed walls. He allowed her some privacy and left the room.
