Hey.. so this is a long update.. and i hope everything is covered up in this... and yes.. forget about kapoor part.. cz I cant write anything good for him as all my focus was on RK-Madhu.. 😆

Part 22

They searched for her everywhere. Around the office, on the roads and RK's home but couldn't find her. RK rubbed his face in frustration while Sultan drove. They couldn't even talk anymore due to the tension. Madhu's safety was all that mattered to them.

"Take to the beach.." RK said suddenly as they were passing through the place. Sultan nodded his head and sharply turned the car to the beach.

They both ran in different directions to search around the beach. Sultan was searching everywhere as hundreds of bad thoughts came to his mind. He was so guilty. He never wanted Madhu get into any harm. On the other hand RK went to the spot where they had been that day. And to his relief he found Madhu sitting on the sand as the waves from the sea bathed her. He heaved a sigh of relief. He couldn't have thanked God more as he felt his life getting back. He went to Madhu and sat beside her.

"What are you thinking?" He asked softly.

Madhu who was still lost in her own dreamland didn't look at him and replied. "Trying to get that day back..." she stared at the horizon.

"It is back.." RK said as he too looked at the direction she was staring.

Madhu suddenly felt strange and sharply turned to RK. "Rishu!... You are here.. Are you fine!.." she said frantically as she moved her hands around his body. "You were hurt.. What happened..."

"Madhu..." he tried interrupting but she didn't listen as she went on muttering and looking around him to check if he was fine. "Madhu!" He jerked her back to her senses.

"I am fine... See I am here, with you.." he said to her lovingly.

Madhu stared at him blankly for a few seconds and then tears started flowing through her eyes. "Please dont hate me Rishu... Please dont hate me..." she said as she cried.

"I dont hate you..." he said as he pulled her closer to him and hugged her tightly.

"Please RK.. I am sorry... I did that to you.. but Rishu I swear I didn't shoot you.." she said gatting away from him to face him while RK tried consoling her. She hugged him back instantly.. "And I am sorry what my father did to you.. I am sorry I hated you... Please Rishu Don't hate me.." she said still crying.

"Shhh.. Madhu calm down.." he said as he patted the back of her head.

He pulled himself away as he came face to face with her.. "Look at me..." he said cupping her face. "Everything is gone.. The past has ended. Now its just us.." He said with assuring eyes. Madhu stared at him with tears still filled in her eyes. "You don't hate me na?" She asked as another tear fell from her eye.

"I love you Madhu.. And please don't cry.. Its killing me to see your tears.." he said getting emotional. Madhu frantically wiped her tears off. She hugged him tightly. "I love you Rishu.. I have always loved you.. I am sorry I had to hurt you like that.." she said while hugging him.

"I am glad you hurt me.. I saw the jungli billi in you.." he said playfully trying to cheer her up.

"Whats the use of it.. I was just so wrong.." she said feeling guilty again as tears brimmed in her eyes again.

"Dont worry.. I will make use of it soon.." he said.

"I didnt understand." She looked at him confused as she broke the hug.

"That I will explain you in private" he said naughtily while Madhu blushed profusely with widened eyes. She hugged him back thanking God that he was with her back and that too fine. "you should not say such things" she said.

RK smiled at her kissed her on her forehead. Madhu stared at him intently as fresh tears started brimming in them. "I had destroyed everything between us.." she said remembering how she betrayed RK.

"And didn't I tell you here only that I would make everything right.." he said cupping her face.

Madhu closed her eyes in content as the tear escaped her eye. RK bent down and sucked the tear from close to her lips. And then he traced his way to her lips and they kissed with all the pain and love they had for each other. As if they were healing each other of their broken souls. RK sucked in her lips gently while trying his best not to be harsh at all.

"I love you Madhu" he said as he broke the kiss and rested his forehead on hers. Madhu smiled happily now hearing him. "I love you too Rishu... I could never ever hate you.. Even when I tried." RK smiled hearing her. They parted while still looking at each other.

"Now come let's go home." He said getting up.

As they stood up they saw Sultan standing at a distance and watching them. He walked closer to them while RK glared at him angrily.

"I am sorry Madhu.." Sultan said as he stood infront of them.

Madhu smiled at him. "No need to say sorry Sullu.. In fact Thank you that you told me the truth.. Otherwise Rishu would never have told me.." she said looking angrily at RK.

"Yes I should have told you in a better way.. I am sorry that I screamed at you.." Sultan said guiltily.

"You screamed at her!" RK exclaimed.

"I can understand.. You were worried for Rishu... So was I" she said ignoring RK's exclamation.

"You screamed at her?" RK said angrily.

"I am sorry RK.. I was just angry and I didn't realize what I did was wrong.. And even doctor said it was difficult for you to survive.."

"I can understand Sullu.. Please dont explain.. You didnt do anything wrong.."

Just then RK's phone rang. He picked up the phone and a restless voice of Padmini came from the other end. "Yes.. Madhu is with me.. I am getting her home.." he said looking at Madhu relieved.

Madhu looked at him confused. "He is talking to your mother.. She was worried for you so she called RK.." Sultan told her.

"Mumma called him?! They know each other.."

"Yes.. RK went to meet her.." He told her quickly before RK got back from the call.

"And even then you didnt tell me anything?!" Madhu accused RK as he disconnected the call.

"I was just.." RK said trying to explain.

"He didnt want you to know anything.." Sultan interrupted.

"Thank you so much Sullu.." Madhu said turning to Sultan realizing that really RK was in no plans to tell her anything and was ready to take up all the accusations.

Sultan kept his hand on her head in brotherly affection. "But still.. I am sorry".

Madhu side hugged Sultan and he hugged her back. RK looked at them still displeased. "Come on Rishu.. Forget it.." Madhu said to him as she realized he was still angry with Sultan.

"But why does he do everything so impulsively. What if something had happened to you..?" he said angrily.

"Because he loves you.." Madhu said.

Suddenly RK's expression changed to a disgusted one. "What?" Madhu asked him confused and then looked at Sultan who was staring at her with an equally disgusted face.

"What?" She said again baffled.

"YEW!!" They both exclaimed together.

"That's heights!! You both love each other. What's so 'yew' in that?" She exclaimed. "Come on hug each other.." she said demanding.

"No way!" RK said. "Please No.." Sultan said at the same time.

"I am not going to listen anything.. Hug each other right now otherwise I am not moving anywhere from here.." she said tying her hands in front of her chest as she patted her foot on the sand restlessly.

They looked at each other helplessly as they knew how stubborn Madhu was. Both had faced that side of her. Madhu held their hands and pulled them to each other. At first they formally gestured a hug but then it soon changed to a serious one. They felt like a true brother with them.

"Thanks for everything man.." RK said what he wanted to say to him since long but wasn't able to.

"Thanks for being there for me always.." Sultan replied back while tightening the hug.

Madhu had happy tears in her eyes seeing them together. She smiled at them.

"But please start using your brains a little more.." RK said recovering. "You are way too impulsive.."

"That's only when it concerns you.." he said shrugging slightly.

"That's making me suspicious now.." Madhu looked at him with narrowed eyes to tease them as they were still hugging.

"Shut up!" Sultan said getting embarrassed.

Madhu laughed seeing them.. "You both are so cute... How you both are stuck in this underworld thing?" she said while laughing.

They shrugged a don't know look. "I am out of it.." RK said happily seeing Madhu laugh so heartily after so long. Since that night she had never laughed like that.

"I am also thinking to leave all this.." sultan said as the three of them started walking to the car.

"Really! Great.. Then we would find a girl for you.." Madhu said excitedly.

"No need to find.. There is one.." RK interrupted her while smiling cheekily looking at Sultan.

"Wow... Who is she..? You never told me" she said punching RK on his arm.

"Because this man never wants to acknowledge that he loves her.." he said.

"I didn't love her.. It was you who used to send her behind me all the time to take your revenge from me when we were rivals.." Sultan said defending himself.

"Yes because I knew you love her.. Be a man.. Accept it.." They were now sitting in the car.

"Who is she? Come on tell me.." Madhu said excitedly from the back seat while Sultan started the car.

"She is our childhood friend.. We had this group of children and we three were quite the ones to hang around together. And she loved Sultan since then.." RK told her.

"Wow.. How romantic..!" Madhu exclaimed.

"That's not true.. she was normal with both of us.." Sultan defended.

"But she always wanted to play with you.." RK argued.

"Because you always remained serious and preferred staying alone.." Sultan said in an instant and then he realized that RK was like that because of his parent's death. He got worried if RK would get upset again as he used to get before hearing about his parents. He turned to look at him and to his surprise RK was smiling casually as he talked to Madhu. A smile played on Sultan's lips seeing that he had finally got his closure from that dark past he had.

Madhu entered her house and found Padmini waiting for her restlessly. Padmini ran to her and hugged her tightly. She looked at her and held both her arms as she shook her. "Where were you.? Do you know how worried I was?" She exclaimed.

"I am sorry mumma..." Madhu said as she caressed her mother's face.

Padmini hugged her again. "Don't ever do that again to your mother.." she said as she felt her daughter close to her heart again and tears of relief flowed down her cheeks. She opened her eyes and found RK standing at the door. She left Madhu and went to RK.

"You brought me back my daughter.. And I am thankful to you for that.." she said with a straight face. "I don't know whatever was the reason you killed my husband but you seem a better man now.. I forgive you today.." she said. RK's lips twisted into a smile. He felt even more relieved.

"Mumma.." Madhu interrupted while Padmini turned to her.

"We are no one to forgive him.." she said as she held her mother's hand trying to prepare her for the truth.

"No Madhu!" RK interrupted dreading what Padmini's reaction might be hearing her.

"No Rishu.. She deserves to know too.." Madhu said to him.

"Rishu?!" Padmini said confused. "What is all this happening here?" She said getting restless.

Madhu took her by the hand and made her sit on the sofa. "Mumma... Rishu killed papa because.."

RK looked at Padmini anxiously. "Because papa had killed his parents... when he was a small boy.." Madhu said as tears of disgust and shame on her father dropped through her eyes.

Padmini looked at her stunned. And the she looked at RK who was now standing in front of her. "Mumma.. Rishu didn't do wrong... He was just avenging his..." Padmini stood up while Madhu kept telling her the truth but then her voice had blanked out of Padmini's mind as she was too shocked to think anything or hear her.

She stood in front of RK as she stared in his eyes. "Are you Radha's son?" She asked anticipating his answer. Suddenly Madhu stopped hearing her while RK stared at her shocked.

"Tell me.. Are you Radha's son?" Padmini demanded restlessly now

RK nodded his head. "Yes..." he said softly.

"Rishabh..." she said as she touched his cheek and her eyes wandering over his face. "Its you my child..." she said kept her hand on his cheek now. RK couldn't understand anything and just stared at her though her affection for him made him emotional for the love that his mother would have given to him but couldn't.

Padmini hugged him. "Rishabh... where were you...? I searched for you so much.." she cried while still hugging him. Madhu looked at her blank and shocked.

"I am so sorry son... I wish I was there with you when Radha left this world.. But I swear, I swear I had searched you.." she said as she broke the hug. Sultan was now standing at the door baffled at the sight he saw. Even RK had tears forming in his eyes now hearing her.

Padmini was now sitting on the sofa with RK and Madhu beside her. She had held RK's hand tightly. Sultan sat on the opposite sofa.

"Radha and me were best of friends. We had almost lived together. We were neighbors since a very young age and were almost like sisters for each other. After our marriage also we stayed like that. We usually hanged around together. And see the fate.. We even got pregnant together. She had you and I had Madhu. As our friendship was so close our husbands also had grown a bond. Or that's what we assumed. They started working together and even had a lot of profits. But Mohan Bhaisaab was a man of ideals. He didn't succumb to any illegal way of working. There was some project with Bhatia companies and that time even the business we had wasn't in very good state. That project meant that everything would get solved in our lives. But Mohan bhaisaab didn't agree for the illegal activities and threatened Bhatia to send him to police. Then one day Malik came home in a blood stained shirt. He told me that Mohan and Radha were killed. He was so restless and frantic and he said that he tried saving them but couldn't. I just asked him about you and he said that you are not there. After that I searched for you so much. I had even said to Malik to search for you everywhere he could and I thought that he was searching but I couldn't find you anywhere. And then after years I came to know that Malik was the one who killed Radha and Mohan but Malik pleaded with me and sweared to everything, that he was being blackmailed to do that and he had no other way out..." Padmini told them the whole story.

"Mumma you knew of it?! Still you forgave him?"

"No I didn't forgive him.. But I was a coward enough not to report him to police. You know Madhu I didn't have anyone. After Radha, Malik and you were all that I had.. and he had cried and sweared to me that he had no other way out" she explained herself.

RK looked at her. He didn't know how to react. "Whether your husband was forced or not I don't know.. The last I met him he had jumped on me to save Bhatia.." he said looking blankly at the floor.

"I have no complaints from you.. Any son would have done what you did.. What I do complain is my own husband and my destiny.. No amount of pressure or blackmail justifies what he did.. Radha was more than a sister to me and her son is nothing less than a son to me.. I wish I had found you earlier.." Padmini said as tears started forming in her eyes again. RK looked at her with a slight smile.

"I am here now..." he said. "Would you tell me about my ma...?" He said with a shaky voice. Padmini nodded frantically as tears fell down her eyes and she caressed his cheek.

"But mumma still... You forgave him?" Madhu said still not believing. "He killed your friend!"

Padmini looked down ashamed " I had you to look after too.." she said whispering.

"Madhu... I have no complaints anymore.. I have got my peace and my revenge after ages. I don't want to start that all over again.. And moreover I can understand what love is now.. she forgave him for love. It was his misfortune that he couldn't value this love.." RK said to Madhu while she nodded knowing full well what he meant. When she had loved him even when knowing that he had killed her father then Padmini might also be in a similar situation.

Padmini looked at him with tears in her eyes. "I am sorry Rishabh.. you had to face this.. the child whom I regarded as my own was wronged because of my husband.. But since the day I found out the truth, Malik was never left the one whom I loved anymore.. we had a mere relation of formality left... But no doubt his death made me mourn for him.. but what else could I have felt.." she looked at Madhu restlessly. "he might have disgraced my love and our relation but I loved him and his death saddened me.. more for you.. that you no more had a father" she said to Madhu as tears flowed down freely.

"please.. don't explain anything.. I can understand your situation.. And as I said I have gotten my peace.. Moreover you have suffered all these years alone.. I am still guilty that I hadn't come to look for you when I killed Malik.. I am satisfied now and I have no complaints anymore" he said smiling as he kept his other hand on Padmini's hand.

"If I had found you Rishabh, I would never have left you alone.. I would have kept you like my own son.. I swear over Madhu.." She said. RK smiled slightly hearing her.

"You can very well make him your son now.." Sultan interrupted slightly.

Padmini looked at him confused. "Ammm.. I am Sultan.. RK's friend.." he said nervously remembering that he hadn't been introduced yet.

"No mumma... his childhood friend.." Madhu said correcting him smiling. "And they love each other vey much..." Madhu said smiling teasingly at both of them again.

RK smiled even with those lot of emotions cropping in him. Padmini smiled at Sultan.

"So... I was saying that you can very well make him your son.." he said smiling excitedly again not letting the chance slip away.

"I didn't understand.." she said confused.

"Sultan!" RK interrupted in a serious tone.

"Madhu and RK love each other... Like really very much.." Sultan said quickly before RK could interrupt and change the discussion. Madhu blushed hearing him while RK nervously looked here and there not knowing how to react.

Padmini looked at Madhu with a shock and confused face. She gestured her to ask her and Madhu nodded her head.

"You both knew each other.." Padmini said confused.

"That's a long story... they will tell you later.. For now what's your decision about their relation?"

"Radha's son is anytime dear to me.." she said as she kissed RK's forehead. "But now... You have to be here with me.. No more crimes Rishabh.. Radha had always imagined a bright future for you.." she said.

"Mumma he has left everything before only..." Madhu said almost jumping excitedly that her mother agreed.

"Shh... Be a girl... Is this how you behave when your marriage is being talked about..?" Padmini chided her while RK burst into a smile seeing her.

"Come on mumma... Who is here..? You know how I am and Sullu is my brother..." she said as she slapped Sultan's back. "Oowww" she growled in pain as her hand hit him.

"What is that?" She said scrunching in pain.

"I do a lot of gym.." Sultan said boastfully. "Actually you see I have always been very attentive about my health.."

"Not now Sultan.." RK rolled his eyes as he knew Sultan would now start praising himself.

Madhu giggled at him while Sultan looked at Madhu with a displeased face. "Ok sorry.." she said softly.

Padmini was making food for them now while RK was sitting on the sofa trying to get his pacing mind to relax. Another revelation today. But he felt relieved now. All.the burdens he had were lifted today. Padmini knew all about his parents. Did she deserve a punishment too? Well, isn't the fact that she had to live 6 years without her husband and had to face the world alone along with the guilt, a punishment enough... Yes it is.! And seeing Padmini and her love, he was missing his mother now. Padmini looked at him from the kitchen and RK smiled at her.

Sultan was standing in the gallery of the chawl as he rested his arms on the railing looking at the sky. So much happened in these months. He wondered how much great a planner God is. They had made so many plans all their lives and thought that they were best in it but today he realized that they were nothing in front of His plans. They started this venture to just kill Bhatia but now RK was even given a family. Who could have thought that?

Madhu came to stand beside him. "Thinking about Trishna?" She said teasingly.

Sultan came out of his thoughts. "No.. I was just.." he said smiling.

"I have decided Sullu... you and Trishna would get married along with me and Rishu.." she said excitedly.

Sultan smiled. "First I will have to confess my feelings for her.." he said smiling.

"you mean you do love her?" she said excitedly.

"yes.. that's because of RK.. he made her roam around me so much that now I have a hang of her.. but I don't know how I would tell her all that.." he shrugged.

"We will make arrangements for that.." she said happily looking at the sky straight ahead with him. She was so relieved today. Even when she had lost her father today even from her thoughts and it did pain her a little. But she had got a brother and man like Rishu in her life. She couldn't have asked for a better life partner than Rishu. She realized how much he was ready to sacrifice just so she stays happy. He really was crazy in love as he said. She took in a deep breath as she realized that they would stay together and happily now.

RK came to them as he was no more able to sit alone as that was making him think a lot and he couldn't take it anymore. "Counting stars in sunlight?" He said as he saw them both staring at the sky.

Madhu turned to him and laughed. "Your sarcastic comments would never end.." she held his arm and made him stand beside her.

"I love you Rishu.." she said as she rested her head on his shoulder.

"I love you more.." RK said as caressed her hand. Being close to her, his mind was suddenly free of thoughts and he felt his abode in Madhu. All that was unsettling him had suddenly stopped feeling her touch. He could smile peacefully now. And yes.. He no more hated himself. How could he? When Madhu loved him so much how could he hate himself then? He looked at the sky smiling as he remembered his parents and this time not with guilt but with love. And he could for the first time feel them smiling back at him.
