FOX has invested a lot of money in BB, infact more than what they started out with due to the delay, so I don't think that they are deliberately sabotaging their own film. What they are trying to do is that they are trying a new approach. An approach that we have not seen so far from production Houses for such big budget films. I don't have a problem with them not releasing a trailer etc, what I have a problem with is that they are non existent on Social media. They did not give BB a dedicated handle on twitter/FB and then post two snapshots everyday with corny taglines. They haven't released any BTS videos or making of songs so far either.

They are a little laid back because of the response to the teaser and the songs, it helped them sell the movie at high prices which they have already done and the response they would have got from distributors would have enabled them even more to continue this way.

The only hope I have is that the article about them releasing many dialogue promos close to the release is true. They have left a mountain to climb for themselves and now with HNY coming with all its glory FOX will have to carpet bomb TV screens completely to recover lost ground IMO.

In the end though it might happen that this strategy they are attempting may work wonders for the movie, who knows. The only thing that I as a fan hate is this movie being a guinea pig for FOX to experiment on.

Either Fox is very confident of their product or they don't want to spend any more money as it might cost them a lot of money to get HR & KK for a extended period of time. But I think this movie will do well irrespective of promotions or not.

But,the PR and to be involve do the marketing of the film s involved in the price of an actor. When an actor sign a movie they chart out the specific conditions and the strategy for promotions.

Promotion for all movies are not always same , it varies like if a star himself is producer or partner in profit than he himself do a lot of promotion like PK , kick , HNY etc. If one say finding fanny , hider etc. doing more promotion its out of logic. Promotion of a movie depend on the budget . For small budget movie less promotion and for high budget movie they allocate more Promotion expenses. It will never be equal for all movie .

When these studios produce any movie they look at all angles , how much will be ROI etc. and on that basis promotion budget strategy etc. decide.

They will promote Bang bang a lot in coming days as it is high budget movie. Now they slowly in proper way releasing teasers songs etc. and in next 2-3 weeks they will promote rigorously and create such hype that will enough to attract viewer to movie hall. They are professional studios, they know how to promote a movie in phased manner and which movie require how much promotion.

Maybe Fox had all the spot son the television shows booked for BB promotions after FF promotions which is why Haidergot the dates much before for the promotions..now people would forget Haider and remember BB as they will be promoting closer to the release...

OK I wasn't aware of that & with this movie being delayed I am sure atleast Katrina has her schedule messed up. So less time for promos. They should have released a full fledged trailer after that awesome teaser, no excuse for that.

I think they are over confident after the huge respose that teaser got.
They haven't released even trailer of the film yet. Thats the main thing which attracts viewers and here trailer is been missing.
They shld have released trailer after the repose they got from teaser.
Now only 2 n half weeks remaining n still trailer is not been released till now.
I think it is first time that releasing date is close n till now trailer is not out ?

If it is not promoting a movie on a very high levelmthen tats how the movies used to be promoted in from the begining to early 2000s

What I meant is not releasing the trailer and any BTS videos whatsoever. Also they haven't gone OTT with their promotions on social media and on TV through product sign ups etc as we have become used to for such movies by now. They claim they want to keep as much as possible under wraps and as the release comes closer more will be revealed.

There are just 20 days for the film to release and at this point we have not even heard a single dialogue from the movie except that 5,4,3,2,1 countdown. It is a different approach surely but I am not liking it so far, maybe in the coming days they will be doing better.
