"And the award for the Best Actress for
the year 2014 goes to none other than
the very beautiful and extremely talented
Divyanka Tripathi," fandom jumped with joy
to celebrate a truly deserved victory!
The lovely Divyanka Tripathi who has
earned the title of Expressions Queen
from her fans, won the award for the Best
Actress at the Indian Telly Awards held in
Mumbai on 9 September.
When contacted, an elated Divyanka said,
"I received two awards, first for the Best
Jodi for Ye Hai Mohabbatein and second
one for the Best Actress. I would really
like to thank Ekta Kapoor and Telly
Awards for bestowing with the precious
awards. I'm really very happy working with
Balaji. I never expected these awards but
yes, I would admit that I so wanted to win
these awards as I really work hard for my
character. When my name was announced
as the proud winner of the above
mentioned two categories I seemed
composed but I was dancing in my heart
and the first thought that crossed my
mind was of my Mom's words. She was
very confident about my win and she told
me the same before we left for the award
function."
Speaking about ITA Awards and its
importance in her her life she chirped,
"Awards for me are my motivation,
appreciation and happiness till the next
award function comes. So far I've
received 30 to 35 awards and I want my
other family to come on screen again as I
want to do more interaction with them. I
don't want my show to be like daily saas
bahu saga. It should be more of a practical
drama."
Her character, Dr. Ishita Raman Bhalla, is
loved by all because she made it lovable by
her brilliant emoting skills. Divyanka has
invested her life in Ishita's character. The
way she portrays each and every scene
with perfection and leaves an impression
seemingly effortlessly is commendable.
Very few actors have this ability but she
does this in every single episode,
flawlessly. The pretty lady has won seven
more awards this year and since the year
end has more than 3 months to go, it
would be appropriate to say "picture abhi
baaqi hai mere dost!"
