in our side prsaad distributed and fasting woman can eat on her own. yes my mum does nirjal vrat from 31 yrs.. she does all household works on even that day. she is very positive in nature.. if i am told to any vrat for husband.. i will fast in navratri and other festivals like ramnavmi, shiv raatri, janmasthmi taking blessigs from god..

Great woman if she has been doing nirjal vrat for 31 yrs. Bhagwan ka haath unke sar par hamesha.
Lot of people fast during navratri, both husband and wife in the north, in the south it is mostly women who eat rice once a day, avoid garlic/onion and eat saathvik foods during that time. anyway we will be loaded on sundal. 😃

I have never seen any women to keep Vrat for husband in my family or in my community. We do fast for certain puja - that could be nirjala or taking fruits/ tea ( my grand mother used take tea, parota etc, my mother has never allowed us to do any puja without eating and drinking. I agree with Nimmy , in hidiusim , there is a place for NIrjala fasting until the puja finished. But I agree with Sri that now - a - days , hardly anybody does nirjala fasting!!!.

I have learnt all these VRAT from hindi TVserial and hindi movies - I love the way women get dressed up to celebrate these rituals and in fact they are howing their love to their beloved - it is nice to watch!!!

I do not have MIL or SIL but my FIL is very broad minded., he would never asked me to do any thing. Being hindu Brahmin, I have not seen him to do any puja in my life. He is an well recognoised educationist (not like AGNIHOTRI definitely.)

But definitely I love to watch VRAT in TV for nicely dr
essed up women only.

Thanks Swathya for the appreciation. Wow, that is great that you have a broad minded FIL and highly progressive and educated. Happy for your girl. The films and serials have glorified the vrats, rituals and customs to a large extent and irrespective of language, people participate in it. It also gives the women to adorn themselves in their best clothes and jewellery. that way they long forgotten wedding saris are giving a good airing annually i suppose, esp if one is living abroad. In India there are opportunites to wear the saris as some social gatherings keep happening and invariably one gets invited to a few.

This months' quota of vrat is over. next up in Navratri, wonder what is going to happen then as it is only 2 weeks away.

I have doubt regarding the fast,how are very sure that Shlok too did fasting that day,Did I miss any scene,I know he was staying late and did not eat his dinner..

I just couldnt stand the scene when he came their with a glass and almost gave it to her and was not ready to let go...ARGH!!!😳..How could you do that ,even If they are your enemies.I wish AStha gives him hard time to reconcile after seperation track .I like how you go into small details,where Anjali walks away leaving bachaa and bahu giving them privacy..love your thoughts Nimmy😊

Bipolar Disorder..ME ME its me..I gave shlokie boy that disorder,also suits for Baba though😉

Your advice to Astha to knock her socks off and handle hot patidev was😆

The water was in line with his behaviour. have you forgotten the 1st SR, man that was epic. the water throwing was another tantrum caused by his anger and ego.

You know we both think alike on a number of things. I had mentioned Bipolar disorder in one of my earlier reviews for baba. Well, right now Ashlok can only have eye***, right so she has to seduce him visually. 😳 Make him salivate and rub it in his face, what he is MISSING...😆 OR IS IT FOR THE BOTH OF THEM🤣
