UFF! Once again, my favorite song on MaNan

People ji, Manik can carry Nandini in various ways. Till now we got many demonstrations of him picking her up over his shoulder..but aaj tou he picked her up like a child and put her on top of the shelf like she weighed nothing at all. Have you ever seen a couple like this before?!

The joy the eight hours they spent together have brought me We got MaNan who are hyper-aware of their proximity, we got bickering MaNan, we got intense MaNan, we got teasing MaNan, we got caring MaNan, we got understanding MaNan...

We got Ishq Bulava MaNan

FINALLY! The progress we've been wishing for. Not only did we get them to be physically aware of each other, but we saw them having a heart-to-heart as well. What a stark contrast between them in that scene. While Manik was awkward and hesitant to share his fear, Nandini was literally glowing like the very fireflies she so loves. And she acted like one as well. She made the room glow and Manik was stunned at her thoughtfulness. Nandu is smart Manik, she is so much more than the trouble you deem her to be.

Though of course Manik was acting a bit grumpy but Nandini wasn't much affected by it. She is truly beginning to understand him. He's not the one who would so easily show his gentler side, she has realized that behind that rude grumpiness, he doesn't always wish ill. I don't know whether she has freed him of her accusation of the goon sending but that intense hatred has been toned down by a lot. Today her nickname for him wasn't said out of hatred but said in a teasing way.

Same can be said for Manik as well. Today was the first time he told her to wipe her tears, asked her to say something, did something which made her smile that pretty smile at her. And he didn't even realize that! While we totally misread the precap yesterday, she didn't smile at him during that close moment. But she smiled at him in a much better way. She smiled at the real him, the vulnerable one, the one he doesn't show anybody...at least not normally.

So yes, now equations are bound to change! The tone of their "relationship" is gonna take a different turn. You just can NOT ignore this proximity, physical and emotional, and forget it the next day. Gaaah! This weekend is gonna be long! Denial gonna be strong on Manik's front and perplexity strong on Nandini's front. Shit man, me is so damn excited!

P.S - Harshad. Me officially loves you. Expect a post on him soon.

I don't even like the song Ishq Bulava. But I absolutely LOVED the musical- dah na na na section of the song. Someone, like, need to make a list of songs they want to see on the show, because the makers have the best song choices so far.
Another beautiful episode. I love how Manik-Nandini relationship has been progressing. Their growth really makes sense. I hope they will not rush them into anything. Also, I really dislike pushing-against-the-wall type cliched romantic sequences, which is why I have always disliked Gul Khan shows and Dil Mil gayee type stuff. I was a little worried that they will only show the physical attraction between them and nothing more. But they actually talked and tried to understand one another. It was pretty realistic, not standard Indian TV romantic nonsense. Nandini saw Manik more clearly, Manik connected to Nandini better.
Also, I adore how they are using the height difference between Parth-Neeti in such a wonderful way. Also, can I just say what an adorable character Nandini is? She is fantastic.

I love the lyrics of Ishq Bulava <3 It was instantly one of my fav songs from the album (the most fav being Manchala...hayyee..if that is to play on MaNan ever, I swear I'd die ) I loved it how they used the initial portion of the show only, the lyrics were really apt.

Ishq Bulava
Jaane kab aaye..
Ishq Bulava
Aave jab aaye..

Seriously CVs!! They really know how to pick songs which BEST suit the situation! Hope they keep it up!

Yeah, the progress in MaNan is slow, gradual and natural. I tou always say, quality over quantity. So far the CVs have done a wonderful job with them, it feels like they know how are they going to take them forward. I am not much scared about them rushing into anything cuz my complaint box with this show isn't that full like it has been with my previous shows 😆 Which is a great sign!

The so called hot, aggressive couples which show manhandling as the way of romance are so regressive. I like how each time Manik has come into Nandini's personal space, be it by twisting her arm or leaning in too close for comfort, Nandini flinches away. They show it how it's a bad thing and should not be glorified. They don't have lamba choda staring sessions during such scenes. Those moments are supposed to be ugly and they show it that way. The real romantic moments between them are shown so tenderly. Where there is no forceness but a natural agreement between the two. There's the hesitation, awkwardness, followed by the realization of proximity and the sparks flying...I am so not over the Shaam sequence. Truly one of the most beautiful moments I've ever seen in a youth show <3

I am a big fan of couples with height differences. There's this joy I get when this tall guy willingly bows down to be at the level of his girl or she uses his feet to push herself upward <3

Nandini is adorable and Niti suits her so well. She was literally glowing in the firefly scene..the innocence of her youth was so clear. You could see a young girl who lives in dream just shining through her...

I love Nandini man, she's such a compassionate person, even with how mean Manik has been to her, she did not hesitate to bandage him. I don't know if she believed him but I think she did for the very reason that it came from his heart with a lot of intensity and that Manik rather be the " villain" people expect him to be than a vulnerable "hero"

I don't know if anyone else read the sybolism like I read it, Nandu like the fireflies is meant to bring the light to Manik's darkness, Manik showed his vulnerable side, and the show very nicely dealt with it, instead of Nandu being scared of the dark, its Manik the Monster for whom darkness should be his element who is petrified of it, underneath the rude, horrible facade of Monster Manik is a lonely vulnerable little boy who doesnt like to show his vulnerabilities. Usually in a fairytale we get the princess rescued from the ogre by a handsome prince, but this story is so Shrek-ish, here the princess needs to rescue the ogre from the surrounding darkness and the princess is not afraid of the darkness but rather when she lives in the light, why be afraid of darkness.

Isnt it interesting that Manik and Nandu know a lot about each other, they have shared so much with each other in conversations, from the incidents with Dhruv, to Rishabh's accident, to Manik's fear about darkness and Nandu's love of fireflies and all this when they are yet to start a romance, And that was what the fireflies indicated in the very first episode, no matter how many times they are asked to go to separate paths, Manik and Nandu will always be drawn to each other.Fate has written them together and no matter hat they will always be in each other's space.
How else to explain this comfort of talking to each other even as they only slowly getting to even know each other?

I loved the part once Manik gets out of the storeroom, Alya calls out to him , he glances at her but it is on Nandu that his glance lingers, Anyone get a sense of guilt/apology? I did, not sure I read it right but felt like this doesnt feel right, this Alya and me and a kind of apology to Nandu,

Precap, Nandu seems to have understood Monster Manik, Manik is in denial,Alya is insecure(with good reason but it is like routine from her) Dhruv, smirking, smiling, I cant get a read on his emotions with regards to Manik and Nandini, I am seriously perplexed.
