Imtiaz Ali's girlfriend Iman Ali has returned to her roots. Rumour mills in Pakistan are abuzz with whispers of her growing camaraderie with Hamza Ali Abbasi , a Pakistani actor, model and film director.
This has given rise to hushed whispers in Mumbai that Iman is not with Imtiaz anymore. A source close to the model-actress told Mirror, "She is going to spend more time in Pakistan now. She came down to Mumbai to make a career in Bollywood but couldn't make much headway. Also, her relationship with Imtiaz is not all rosy now."
When contacted Imtiaz refused to elaborate on the current status of his relationship with Iman.
Iman too was unwilling to talk about Imtiaz and Hamza, and simply said, "I have always lived in Pakistan. I am in Pakistan and shall continue to live here."
But a friend of the actress revealed that her visits to Mumbai have decreased with time. She was last seen at Ranbir Kapoor's house party a monthand-half ago. Imtiaz's estranged wife Preety was also present at the bash.
A friend of the director added, "While I cannot say if Iman is out of Imtiaz's life, there has definitely been a drastic change in him over the last month. He wants to mingle with his old friends, whom he had stopped interacting with, after meeting Iman. Also, he is calmer now, not so edgy."
The Jab We Met director, who separated from Preety a few years ago, had grown close to the Pakistani model and actress, who was last seen in Shoaib Mansoor's riveting film Bol in 2011. She made her debut in the hit pakistani film Khuda Kay Liye in 2007.
