About yourself: What more can I say than I've not already mentioned. I'm family-orientated, tend to keep my guard at around new people but once I get to know someone I chat non-stop. I'm a dreamer, I tend to ponder a lot on the 'What If' but take my time to actually 'Do' as I self-doubt a lot.

Why is your id name pardesi-mem- Inspired by the SRK's movie title English Babu and Desi Mem. I wanted to be called Pardesi as I'm desi on an Indian Forum living abroad and since the gender is ambiguous when left just as Pardesi I decided to add mem on the end to clarify it.

Pet name- Fahtii

What are your favorite shows these days- Kaajjal, JJKN and KWK…there are other shows I'm interested in just not got the time to view them.

Any memorable moment on IF- The KA Parivaar shaadis to Eijoo…so much masti during those times.

Favorite book (I need recommendations )- hehe you've come to the wrong person hun, I'm not a big reader. Last book I read was an autobiography entitled 'Childhood Interrupted' by Kathleen O'Malley

TV-

An actor that you can watch in any show- Eijaz

The most brilliantly made show till now- Ekta is good with tying up the theatrics with lavish sets and costumes but Des Mein Nikkla Hoga Chand was quite a memorable show b/c as a weekly it had more time to work on its script. Ek Chabbi Hai Padoss Mein is following in its footsteps, I've caught a few episodes, it is a really great show.

The best storyline of a show- JJKN…just started reading the updates/watching the videos and the story is amazing, brilliantly executed by D&T, better than Ugly Betty.

Favorite character of a tv show- Kavya

The best-looking television actor- Here is where I get bewafa to my darling crushes but Eijaz, Rajeev, Apurva and Hussain top the list!!

An actor you love for his off-screen persona- Hussain as he is bindaas, he is totally sweet to the core and I love him more since seeing him on NB as I feel like I know the real him. Tina too makes me like him more because he has the most sincere, humble and loveliest wife ever. If Eijoo would participate we could see more of the real him.

Movies-

Favorite movie of all time- Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

A movie that was pointless- Many..errm right now I'm thinking of Dulhan Hum La jayenge.

Comment on the following things-
Awards: Biased no matter if its jury based or vote based. However, credit due where credit due, the award usually goes to the most deserving. Yet, I sometimes feel awards are overrated as actors can get their recognition simply from good reviews, critical acclaim, a box office hit and a nomination, which are all rewards in themselves. Personally, these days the channels introduce so many awards shows to generate revenue for their channels that it's made awards lose their value because they are not scarce. Although, the coveted classic awards like Filmfare etc still hold that prestige.

Remakes: A great way of reintroducing the classics to the younger generation who then in turn go back to view the originals out of curiosity.

Preity: Ideal politician with her passion for great causes and outspoken and slightly diplomatic nature. I like that she came from a non-filmi background and made her own in the industry. She is extremely friendly especially with all her male co-stars so she must be quite laid-back. She has matured over the years into a fine actress and women.

Rani: Reserved and shy to the media who portray her as insecure when in reality I feel she is just someone who likes to be friendly with those who are genuine with her and competition is part and parcel of the industry so why must they single her out as self-doubting. She had her fair share of struggles before reaching her height of success so it's well-earned. She improves with each movie and she strikes an amazing chemistry with every co-star.

If SRK didn't smoke, one thing you would dislike him for- Tough one. Err recently the endorsement of the Fair Cream was something I'm against as personally I believe we should have got passed this whole 'fair is beautiful' with the dusky beauties are so predominant in the glam industry today.

SRK's turnon- Adorable dimpled smile, his eyes and his voice!

Your take on SRK after you read this- Utterly speechless and just in awe of this man who never ceases to amaze me with his humanity. Definitely, the most open and insightful interview I've read of his ever as it is just his thoughts, the real him. It is beautiful how much his kids have stabilised him as emotionally and psychologically they keep him sane and happy because his life revolves around them. He has instilled such good values in them in a lovely way, not rigid with rules but more about making them aware of the principles in life through their own experiences. E.g. the case of his son apologising to the cops and maidservants.

I love how he simply put that he has no time to fight for a cause but the example he sets with his own life is all about encouraging Indians to rise up through hard work and enhance India's image through their positive persona.

My respect and admiration for the SRK has grown. I keep saying this but he truly is a self-made man and he retained his humility which is his greatest quality. As the actor he may fade away from our minds but the man will leave an everlasting impression!
