Ajay Devgn has teamed up with Prabhu Dheva for the movie Action Jackson. The movie was supposed to release this June, but its release date was pushed to November 7. Now, the release date has again been postponed, and this shift of date will help Shahrukh Khan.
Action Jackson has been getting delayed due to Ajay Devgn's prior commitment. The actor had to complete shooting for Rohit Shetty's Singham Returns in order to release it on Independence Day. Now, Eros Entertainment, the producer, has decided to postpone the movie from Nov 7 to Dec 5.
With the announcement of the new release date, trade has started buzzing with the news that this change will help Shahrukh Khan's Happy New Year to a great extent. It will clearly be three weeks of free and smooth run for Happy New Year at the box office, benefitting Shahrukh Khan, also the co-producer of the film.
The movie which releases this Diwali will now have no big releases until Yash Raj film's Kill Dil -- starring Parineeti Chopra, Ranveer Singh and Ali Zafar -- hits screens on November 14.
The new release date of Action Jackson has made Saif Ali Khan pre-pone his Happy Endings which was supposed to hit screens on December 5. Now the movie will visit the theatres on November 21. With this, the Ajay Devgn-starrer will enjoy two weeks of uncontested run before Aamir Khan's P.K. arrives at the BO.
