Madhu was sitting on her table in the canteen the next day as she tried to eat. But she was just moving her spoon on the plate. She didn't know how to stop herself from loving RK. She remembered all those moments that she spent with RK. There were sometimes that she had really forgotten that she was just pretending to love him. She remembered that day when RK had picked her up and sighed as she realized that everything had gone away. But she didn't know what it was that still existed. Why even now they have something? A strange relation. She remembered RK's words- We are bonded for sure Madhubala.. If not with love the with hate..

Was it true? Are they still bonded? She remembered those days when she would secretly search for who her father's murderer was? When she just knew about some RK who killed her father. And later she found his photo in an old newspaper as the man who had beaten up a local builder's men. He looked a typical street thug with least mercy in his eyes. And then she saw his photo in the office file as their Supervisor to come and she instantly recognized those eyes. Those eyes that she had hated then. That's when she realized that RK was Rishabh Kundra. And that now Bappa has helped her to take her revenge. But was this really a revenge? Shouldn't she be happy? Then why does seeing RK fills her with guilt. Why does his presence make her feel secure when it should have been the other way round? Why does she want him near her, like sitting here with her for lunch?

Just then she heard a thud on her table. She looked up confused and saw RK standing there with his plate on the table. He sat on the opposite bench authoritatively.

"Still lost in thoughts.. I thought you had gotten your revenge" he said sarcastically.

Madhu looked at him shocked. How did this happen? Just now she had thought of him being here and he came.

"There's no table left empty..." he said smiling naughtily.

Madhu came to her senses as she looked around and there were many empty tables. She frowned at him. Then she remembered that she had said the same thing when she had sat with him for the first time. That was kind of her trick to get close to him. Well, RK knew that now. She shook her head at his silliness and started to eat focusing on her plate.

"Besides if I sit alone, some flies start hovering over me..." RK hinted at Dipali. Madhu tried focusing on her plat. " and then my jungli billi turns into a tigress" he said chuckling.

Madhu looked up at him trying to maintain a frown. "I don't have any problem.. Go sit with your beloved.." she said angrily as she remembered RK going with her the previous day.

"yes... I am sitting with my beloved.." he said smirking naughtily at her.

Madhu blushed slightly as she tried controlling her lips from forming a smile.

"So Madhubala.. you told me a lot of things about yourself that night.." he said casually referring to their date as if that night was just another normal conversation. "But you didn't answer my question.. Do you live alone?" He asked.

"Why do you want to know that?" She said confused.

"Because if you are, then I would make myself comfortable in visiting you once in a while. " he said smirking.

"No..!" She said hurriedly. "I live with my mother."

"Oh.." RK said relaxing inwardly that she doesn't stay alone.

"By the way I am very inspired by your mother.. She must really be a strong woman to have raised you." He smiled naughtily.

Madhu breathed in her anger as she kept her concentration on the plate.

"Do you think I should pay her a visit..?" He asked her feigning a genuine face.

"She hates you more than I do.." she said firmly.

"Then I will make her love me the way I made you.." he said winking at her.

"I dont love you" Madhu said firmly.

"I know.." RK said as he diverted his attention to his plate smiling sarcastically.

" Why are you smiling like that..? I really mean it.." she said offended.

"what...? I didn't say a word.." he said defensively.

"But you are smiling like that." Madhu pointed his lips.

"Your presence makes me smile all the time" he said flirtatiously.

Madhu couldn't help but blush. "I hate you.." she said trying to control her smile but was unsuccessful this time.

"If that's how you hate... Do that all your life.. My Jungli Billi.." RK looked at her lovingly.

"Do you know RK I hate myself for those moments I had to spend with you when I was pretending.." she said in a hard tone.

"But you made up for all of that quite much on our date.." RK said chewing his food casually. Madhu was amazed seeing the way he now casually referred to that day. "And by the way.. its Rishu.. Do I need to remind you again.." RK said looking at her.

" Arghh" Madhu snorted. "Yeah right Rishu.." "What would you get by that? You know I hate you like anything.." she asked confused.

"Yeah.. It makes me feel the pain that you never had said it out of love" RK said while looking at his plate trying not to meet her in the eyes while Madhu stared at him dumbstruck.

"You are mad.." she said finally recovering from her shock.

"I can go to any limits in love..." he said boastfully while Madhu rolled her eyes.

"You know.. You should have killed me that night.." RK said after sometime of silence on the table.

"Hah.. I cant be a monster like you..." Madhu said playfully.

"In this cruel world one has to be a monster.." RK said smiling and Madhu just stared at him blankly.

Their lunch had finished by now and they both stood up to go.

"So.. when will you meet again..?" RK said lovingly.

Madhu's heart skipped a beat. All that love he had for her seemed to be pouring out.. "Never..!" She said recovering.

"You kill me with that look.." RK said as he went away winking at her.

Madhu shook her head at him. What was he? She was loving him even more but still she hated him like anything. She felt stuck in between her feelings. But she felt better, because now her true self was in front of him. Finally she wasn't pretending, she wasn't betraying him any more. They might be hating each other, or just she hating him but now she didn't have to fight with herself to backstab him.

RK was now at his house. He was thinking to himself about Bhatia's arrival. He knew if he comes in front of Bhatia at the wrong time then he would either run away seeing him or attack him. He had to leave no stone unturned and attack him when he is least alert. And then he also has to keep Madhu out of danger. He decided he would do something to not let her come to office that day.

He remembered his conversation with Madhu. He smiled to himself. What crazy life he was having.? Instead of having romantic dialogue with his girl, he was having hate discussions. Then he remembered about her mother. She told that she lives with her mother. And she had told that her mother had to face a lot of hardships because of him.

"Should I go and meet her? What if she knows me? Madhu said that she hates me even more. What if she reproaches me.? But then I should have once looked for them. I killed Malik. But I should have gone to them. Helped them. I was so engrossed in my passion for my revenge that I didn't realize that I did the same to someone else. But I am happy Madhu took her revenge. And she can do more if she wills. But her mother, does she know that Madhu did all this... I would go to her. Let her have her anger on me. I do deserve that from them. Madhu might get her peace by what she did but would her mother have that.. I wont repeat the mistake I once did. I would rectify it. I would go to her.."

He slept with that decision.

The next day RK stood outside Madhu's house. The time was past their office. RK was sure that Madhu must have gone to office by now. He took in a deep breath. Never had he felt so nervous in his life. He was almost afraid. He had to face the person, whose life he had destroyed. He closed his eyes and gathered all the courage he could and pressed the doorbell.

The door opened after a few minutes. And there stood a woman in her 50s. Her face was hard yet showed motherly affection. RK was anxious if she would recognize him. He stared at her seeing her face. He didn't know what he was thinking.

"Yes.. Who are you?" She asked which got RK out of his trance.

"Are you Mrs. Padmini Malik?" He asked back in a nervous tone. He had got that name from Madhu's details in office.

"Yes I am.. Who are you?" She asked back with a frown.

He took in a deep breath. "I am... I am.. Rishabh Kundra.." he blurted.

"Rishabh Kundra.. Okay.. And what brings you here?" She asked back confused

RK felt even more confused. Doesn't she know him? That's when he realized where he was getting wrong. "Amm.. Actually I am.. RK.." he said nervously.

Suddenly her expression changed. She stood there shocked and her mouth left open. She stared at him straight in the eyes.

"Mrs. Malik..." he interrupted and then SLAP!! landed her hand on his face.

"How dare you even show me your face!!" She screamed at him.

RK closed his eyes as he realized what storm and pain he must have caused in her. He could feel that hurt and he knew he deserved much more.

"Is there anything left to destroy?" Padmini screamed at him while RK stood there silently. "What did you get? What did you get by killing my Malik!!" She held his shirt and asked him in an angry yet shaking voice. The hurt was evident in her voice.

Suddenly she started slapping and beating him while RK just stood there taking all that she could do. She tried hitting him with all the might that she could all the while tears flowing down her eyes. RK felt the pain that she had gone through all these years because of him. He couldn't control and tears started flowing doen his cheeks too but he just kept his eyes closed as the slaps from Padmini landed over him.. Finally tired, she slouched on the ground in front of him crying her heart out. RK sat down beside her with tears still in his eyes. He swaloowed the lump that had formed in his throat. He forwarded his hand to hold her hands and comfort her but stopped. He didn't feel worthy enough to touch her.

"I have done a crime that asking for forgiveness would be a great injustice to you.. But still I am sorry that I didn't come to you.. I am sorry that you had to face all those hardships because of me.. I am sorry that I didn't come when I should have been with you and should have borne your anger and your hate." He said crying.

Padmini looked at him baffled while tears flowed down her eyes freely. "What are you? Firstly you have the audacity to come here.. And then you are crying with me.. If you are such a good person why did you kill my husband? What had he wronged you?" She cried.

RK's face hardened. "Whatever my reason was to kill him.. I cant tell you.. But believe me Mrs. Malik I never regretted that and neither do I regret it now. The only thing that I regret is the way I came to you today, I should have done it the day I had killed him. I should have served you and not left you alone to face the cruel world.."

Padmini looked at him shocked. "6 years!! 6 years of my life I have suffered my husband's loss. 6 years I have been a single mother to my daughter. 6 years I have fought with this pain to not let it reach my daughter.. And today you are standing here and saying that you don't even regret that?" she looked at him disgusted.

RK looked at her and then took in a deep breath. Seeing the disgust on her face caused another tear to flow down his eye. "I regret it.. I regret that you had to face all of this.. I regret that you had to teach your daughter to fight the world when you might have taught her about the princess and the prince. I regret that my presence in this world has caused you to suffer in the worst way.. I know asking forgiveness would make my crime very nimble. But still if you want me to do anything.. Anything for you I would do that. Even if it accounts to my own life.." RK said to her with conviction in his eyes.

Padmini let out a slight laugh. "I had never expected a day that my husband's murderer would help me.."

"Its not a help.." he said.

"Why did you come?" She asked in a daze.

"I just thought that I should come.. Because now I realized what I caused you.. I know I got very late but I am here.. I wish I had come here before.." RK's voice started shaking. He took in a deep breath as he controlled himself. "I would do anything for you..." he said not knowing what else to say.

"Just go now.. I am too baffled to even hate you right now.. You have confused me... Just go away..." she said tired to take so much tension anymore.

"This is my number..." he gives it to her.

"I hope never to see you again.." She said in a tired voice.

"I hope you do.." he said and then stood up to go. "Don't tell your daughter I was here.." he said. He deliberately didn't take her name. He had understood by now that Madhu hadn't told her about his presence around her.

"Why are you talking about her?" Padmini said suddenly getting protective.

"I dont know.. She would already be feeling bad.. and I think my coming here would upset her even more.. and freshen her wounds of her father's loss.." he said to her pretending that he doesn't know Madhu.

Padmini nodded her head. RK walked off while she just stared at him thoughtfully.
