Kick is the only film to cross the 100 crore mark in terms of distributor share this year. This 100 crore share is the real 100 crore club today as the getting to 100 crore nett is no achievement. The only films to have crossed the 100 crore share mark as Ek That Tiger, Chennai Express, Dhoom 3 and Kick. The top distributor shares for the year is as follows.

1. Kick - 117.5 crore
2. Singham Returns - 77 crore
3. Jai Ho - 58 crore
4. Holiday - 56 crore
5. Ek Villain - 49.75 crore
6. Two States - 49.50 crore
7. Gunday - 37.75 crore
8. Humpty Sharma Ki Dhulhania - 35.5 crore
9. Entertainment - 33 crore
10. Main Tera Hero - 26 crore

It means that Salman Khan leads in this race as Kick means he has two films that have crossed the 100 crore share mark while Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan have one each. Only four films have crossed 50 crore share this year with more than 8 months gone which tells its not a very good year till date.

Salman Khan Rewrites Box-Office History Again With Kick

Salman Khan-starrer Kick is the only Bollywood movie this year so far to cross the Rs. 100 crore market in terms of distributor share, says a report from boxofficeindia.com.

This takes Salman Khan the only Bollywood actor to have two movies which have crossed the Rs. 100 crore mark in terms of distributor share, adds the report. The other Salman Khan-starrer, says the report, that hit this milestone is Ek Tha Tiger.

According to this report, other films to have crossed the Rs. 100 crore mark in terms of distributor share are Chennai Express and Dhoom 3.

In terms of overall box-office collection, Salman Khan also holds the record of being the first Bollywood actor to have seven Rs. 100 crore movies to his credit: Ek Tha Tiger, Dabangg 2, Bodyguard, Dabangg, Ready, and Jai Ho, trade analyst Taran Adarsh had earlier said in a tweet.

Kick is estimated to have done business of over Rs. 200 crore at the domestic box office. Kick is also the biggest Bollywood grosser so far this year.

Kick is a remake of the hit 2009 Telegu film of the same name and the screenplay for the Hindi version was adapted by Chetan Bhagat and Sajid Nadiadwala, who's also the director-producer of the movie. The film has been released under the Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment banner.

Kick also marks the directorial debut of Sajid Nadiadwala. With Kick, director Sajid Nadiadwala has also moved into record books. He has become the first director whose debut movie has grossed over Rs. 200 crore. (With Agency Inputs)
