AYAZ NEW INTERVIEW

You have seen him as a Roadie (in MTV Roadies Season 5), as a baddie-turned-goodie Raghu in 'Do Dil Ek Jaan'. Meet Ayaz Ahmed, the boy with red frames and cute smile from 'Splitsvilla'. Ayaz has been part of many shows like 'Yeh Hai Aashiqui', 'Ishq Kills', 'MTV Webbed2', 'Gumrah' and 'Pyar Tune Kya Kiya'. Currently, he plays Cabir in 'Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan', a friendship-based show on MTV. And many don't know that the role of Cabir was earlier given to his good friend Ashwini Koul (Ayaz's ex co-contestant from 'Splitsvilla'). In an exclusive conversation with Pinkvilla.com, Ayaz speaks about his role from MTV's latest show 'Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan', the girl with whom he wants to win the 'Splitsvilla' title and more! Read on:

How did you come on board for your current show MTV 'Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan'?

I was shooting for Splitsvilla in Jaipur when MTV approached me for this show. I accepted the role as it was something which I had never done before. The show is not like a typical daily soap, its fun and has a very different concept; hence I got a kick to star in it.

Tell us a bit about your character in the show.

Cabir is character that has grey shades; he likes to have a good laugh on others expense. But, he loves his Mom and friends more than anything else in the world; he would be ready to die for them. He likes to have fun, bully others and play pranks on his college mates.

Did you play any pranks on the sets?

Yes. Once we were shooting on the outskirts of the city, the place resembled a haunted haveli and I decided to play a prank with the cast and crew. I scared everyone by telling them I've heard ghosts stories about this place, Charlie played along and both of us decided to play a prank. At 12 in the night, Charlie acted like she was possessed by a ghost, I acted all scared and went and told everybody about it. People got scared and freaked out. It was a lot of fun.

Who are you the most closest from the 'KYY' team?

Nobody in particular, I'm good friends with everyone.

How was your experience staying in the out-house on Splitsvilla?

It was very lonely and quiet. I was missing all the in-mates but it's a game and you should take whatever comes your way. At the same time I felt very relaxed and got a lot of time to think about my further plans.

Which girl did you miss the most?

I think the answer is very obvious. I definitely missed Priyanka the most, we are extremely good friends. We became really close on the show and developed a special connect, it had become a part of my morning to get up and wish her, I missed all of this.

With whom would you like to win the title and why?

I would go with Priyanka, reason being the same that I'm very close to her and would definitely like to win with her.
