Nope. Ranveer would not suit the role. Acting wise he could. But, Ranbir was perfect for the role Ranveer would not be also though I like Ranveer more than RK. But still, I think RS would be v unsuitable for Barfi

Ranbir in Lootera - No way. He is good only urban boy/man child roles

I think people UNDERESTIMATE Ranveer a lot. I personally don't think Ranbir could have ever pulled off a Lootera or a Band Baaja Baraat or Ram-Leela as well as Ranveer.

Ranbir is a good actor but I find him good in only certain genres. I think he tends to go OTT alot with many roles. I found him OTT in Bachna Ae Haseeno, Anjaana Anjaani, Besharam, Yeh Jawaani Hai Dewaani. He was good in Barfi but I can't give the entire credit of that movie to him. That movie had story, good music, good direction and Jhilmil. So even if Ranbir didn't do well in it, I don't think it would have been a bad movie either way. I Ranveer could do a Lootera where his character was so different from himself, he could have done a Barfi. Maybe his interpretation of the character might have been different, but I think he could have pulled it off.

Again, Ranbir is a good actor but he isn't some next level actor who can't be beat. He is only good in certain roles and characters. But people tag Ranveer as OTT and outrageous because his off-screen persona is like that. Ranbir's off-screen persona is more sober and secretive.

Nope..I love Ranveer..but he's OTT. Barfi needed an experienced and more natural actor.

But who knows Ranveer might prove us all wrong. The guy did pull of BB without going OTT and he was very natural.

Ranveer can't do it!

I was highly impressed with Ranveer in BBB and LVrB - he acted well in those films! But after that, he went downhill IMO... I could barely understand what he was saying in Lootera he kind of mumbles when he talks.

His performance in Ram Leeela was average ... And Gunday was one of the worst acting performance I've seen (by both Arjun and Ranveer)

He has a long way to go! And I don't think he could do a Barfi
