A Question about Prem

I was wondering, what did Prem do in the past that has made him such a villain?

I only started watching recently so I don't really know the whole story.

Prem was (and still is) in love with Suman before her marriage to Rajiv. She married Rajiv when she overheard some well renowned pundit on the day of her wedding (while she was running away) saying Suman's husband would die within 6 months of mariage (she was trying to spare Prem's life when she married Rajiv). However she fell in love with Rajiv, and Prem is now on a mission to get her back by whatever means possible.......hope that's helpful 😊
