The Mantra: Tumhari Paakhi

This was the mantra that was dinned into Paakhi's head ever since she was forced into marrying Anshuman as a child.
A child bride does not have choice - she is brain washed into believing that the groom she married as a child is her only future - she BELONGS to him. And so strong is the mantra 'tumhari paakhi' - that Paakhi lived in an illusion that she actually loved the groom she married as a child and waited 18 years for him to come and get her to live with him.
Anshuman - the child groom, on the other hand, was brought up with the belief that he had the choice to reject the bride he had wedded as a child.
He was told that he could do the criminal act of bigamy - because the society he lives in permits males to choose whom they want to marry. He would be protected from the law simply because he is a man. And so he rejected Pakhi, wedded another woman and begot Ayaan. This second wife of Anshuman died.
Now Anshuman was again free to reject Pakhi a second time and wed a ultra modern woman with whom he had fallen in love. But the media got to know that Anshuman was married as a kid and Paakhi was his legal wife.
It became difficult for Anshuman to commit the criminal act of bigamy a second time without the risk of being put in jail. And so reluctantly and with the intention of a quick divorce he accepted that Pakhi as wife.
Message: Men are not committed to the woman they marry - the mantra "Tumhara Anshuman' was not dinned into his head. There is no such brain washing whatsoever. And, Anshuman did not feel a twinge of regret or guilt re: his behavior to Pakhi.
Woman are brain washed into fidelity and the "tumhari Pakhi" mantra. In this particular case Pakhi repeating it even after Anshuman's death indicates the extreme brain washing she has been subjected to as a child - because Anshuman was not a good husband to her and (like his fake brother Aryamaan) was a criminal - totally unworthy of Pakhi.

Agree Pakhi from childhood was like brainwashed that she only belongs to Anshuman..Even after knowing the truth about him being married with a child so innocently follow him back to his home..her husband house where she did not get that sweet expected welcome neither love...Let being married he had a GF which he was flaunting in front of pakhi in his own house..

Its only after so much hatred and humiliation that she got accepted by Anshuman..

I think We will get a reverse scenario now..Pakhi will be that Anshuman who married Pakhi not out love and hated her presence in his house..it already indicates Pakhi will have that hatred towards Veer ...

Whereas veer will be that same Pakhi who knew she will never get her husband love but still did her duty as his wife..stood by him in his ups and down...here we know Veer promised Pakhi's family he will always be there for her and be a good father to Ayaan..

With time thats how Anshuman feeling started to change for pakhi and did fell for her much later..my guess same will happen pakhi will get to know the real Veerpratap singh ,his good qualities and which may prove him a much better Father and husband..

I may be wrong but i think that mantra of "Tumhari Pakhi"only for Anshuman will change in future.

Thank you for the well written comment.
You are probably right regarding Pakhi behaving somewhat like Anshuman towards Veer because of the intense dislike that she currently has for him; and Veer being the positive, cheerful, and all forgiving dutiful father. Yes, Veer will have to go through trials by fire in order to prove that he has no ulterior motive and that he married her just to protect her from the evil machinations of his Bua.

Nice post, though I like Anshuman - Pakhi a lot, I agree with you.

I understand your view point completely.

My only problem with Cvs is they showed us from the beginning that Pakhi -Anshuman will be together and they changed the story completely.

IMO it was the publicity that gave the opinion that Pakhi-Anshuman will be together forever.
If the CVs had stopped at that they would be giving a wrong message to society - that it is OK for men to commit bigamy. And, that woman have to live and smile with callous criminals like Anshuman.
The CVs definitely would NOT want to give the wrong message to its viewers.
So, I think the CVs had always intended to have a second part to this serial. If the channel permitted them then they would show both part consecutively as a single whole. If not they would have two seasons.

I think Pakhi is lashing out at Veer is for everything that has happened to shatter her world so he is going to bear the brunt of her anger for things which for the most part were not his fault.
Pashi has had to deal with:
- Ansuman's death
- Pretending Aryaman was Ansuman for Aayan's shake
- Taking on running the business as well as managing home and family
- forced into a second marriage

The first three are not Veer's fault.

He played a big role in the last one but lets be clear:
- she knew from day 1 that he had come to make her agree to marry Aryaman
- In fact when he said he was leaving (after Vasvani issue) she provoked him by saying so you are accepting defeat?
- She has spent 4 months with him. She acknowledges that he is decent guy, that he has helped her so if she wanted to stop him manipulating Aayan to be forced into this situation why did she not play the Vmail to him and say do you really think this man is a good role model for Aayan?

So somewhere a small part of the blame she is leveling at Veer for the predicament she finds herself in, is also hers.

They say destiny charts it own path and we are merely puppets.

Pakhi may have thought/believed/wanted to be Ansuman's Pakhi and believed that relationship was the best but perhaps fate wants her to experience a different relationship - a relationship in which she can choose whether she wanted to participate or not as Veer wants/expects nothing from her.

Wonderful post! and I so agree with the comments stated by every one here. Although Anshuman's and Paakhi's love for each other was real, there is no denying the girl has to work for it from the start. Which no doubt she happily did with dignity and stenghth.
In my opinion , no offensse to any one, but when I see the term "TUMHARI PAKKHI" I think not of it not as her belonging to any one, but a title that shows the strength and grit of a woman, who believed in love , family and sacrifice.
She was tested and measured from day one till now and she some how pulled through. To a man who did not fully appreciate her.
Again Paakhi is being put through the fire make a sacrifice for the only true love she has , for her child! Again She has a hurdle to climb, only now her heart is shattered , her spirit is closed off. She feels betrayed by the ones she should be able to trust the most.
Veer will have his task cut out for him gaining her trust again, but with time maybe he will be able to do that.
YOUR PAKKHI ... our PAKKHI is a woman of strength, a woman of substance a woman of today...and she will triumph no matter what comes her way!!! 😊
