Part 12

Madhu was working on her desk now. She had cried and crinched over the fact that she would have to work here in front of the person from whom she wanted to run away as soon as possible. She remembered she had to get a file from the store room. She walked to the store for which she had to cross in front of RK's room.

She entered the store and stood in front of the rack full of papers and files. Not much later she heard the door open again. She turned to see who it was when she noticed RK walking through the door with an evil smile on his face..

"What are you doing here?" She said angrily.

"Just dropped in to say hello.." RK said casually.

"Stop it!!" Madhu said to him in a firm warning tone.

"I didnt start anything.." he replied back

"Just go away RK!" She said angrily. "And leave me alone."

RK's smile turned to a frown. And hurt was evident in his eyes.

"Its Rishu for you..." RK said firmly. He was used to being called Rishu by her.

"No!" Madhu said defiantly smiling, that once again she had hurt him.

"call me Rishu..." RK said as he stepped forward.

"RK!!" Madhu said again.

"Its Rishu.." RK was now standing close to Madhu.

"Back off RK... or I would scream..." Madhu said warningly.

"Scream..." RK said as he lowered his lips slowly to her neck.

"What are you doing...? Stay away!" Madhu said panicking as she stepped backward. Thats when she realized that she was against the wall already.

"Rishu...!" RK said demandingly.

"Stop it RK.." Madhu said in a weak whisper now as she felt his breath on her neck.

RK kept getting closer while Madhu had by now stopped protesting. All those feelings that she had been hiding in herself stormed in her. Her Rishu was again with her. And she somehow wanted this moment to stay forever, so that nothing else in the world could matter to any of them. She closed her eyes and a tear escaped.

RK's lips slightly touched her neck. Thats when she suddenly was knocked back into her senses.

"Stop it Rishu.." she said panicking.

RK looked at her and a smirk formed on his lips.

"Bubye!!".

He raised his hand upto his face and waved her good bye as he turned and walked off with a victorious smile.

Madhu looked at him walking away while she smoothed her erratic breath. She slouched against the wall and buried her face between her knees as she let out her silent cries and tears flowing through her eyes. Yes.. In her attempt to avenge him and break him she had fallen in love with him. She had fought with herself hard enough to keep hating him but she couldnt. She had fallen for her father's murderer and as much as she hated the fact she had to accept it whenever she saw him.

She used to cry for herself and RK when alone. Whenever she saw RK's smiling face on seeing her, she would feel the pain that she would have to hurt him. She couldn't betray her father for him. She used to just go blank when she saw the love he had for her in his eyes. She sometimes wished that this continues forever. She wished that they were somehow teleported to another world where nothing else would matter except for their love. And where she could submit her whole self to his love without this feeling of guilt she had in her for loving him. She wanted to hate him, reminded herself every minute of what he did too her, but whenever she would be infront of her that Murderer RK would change to her Rishu for her and then she had to struggle with herself.

She came out of the store after some time with a red nose. She saw RK standing at the desk doing something but she knew he was there to check if she was alright. She had known him that much. That day when he had gone unconscious then too all that he was worried was her safety. She had cried at that time thinking that she was betraying him. It had happened because she had mixed a drug in his coconut water. But what else could she have done. Should she have let her father's killer go just like that? Madhu questioned herself and couldnt get an answer. Atleast, not a strong enough to convince her.

RK looked at her tear strained face. He clenched his teeth in anger. He didnt know what made her cry. Was she so disgusted with him that his touch made her cry so much? He felt even more hurt thinking of it. He stared at her for a few seconds and then turned away sharply and walked off in an angry stride.

RK was finalizing the contract for the big deal. Big for RK and Sultan. There lives depended on it. He took in a deep breath as the thought of Madhu came to his mind. He had once decided that he would go away with Madhu after this deal but now everything seemed shattered.

He went to Mr. Kapoor's cabin.

"I have made the contract. You can read it.. here.." he said as he passed the file to him.

"Oh great.. I have talked to Mr. Bhatia. he would be here in 3 days.. but he has a return flight the next day.. so we will have to finish this that day itself." Kapoor said as he flipped the pages of the file.

"Ohh great.." RK said smirking as he thought about Bhatia's return flight. His only return would now be to hell. Where he truly belonged.

"Why is Mr. Bhatia so reluctant to come here?" RK asked to check if he is involved.

"It seems some of his personal issues. He had some accident here I suppose..." Mr. Kapoor said.

"Okay.." RK said but he knew well what the accident was. He bid him farewell and came out of the cabin. He saw Madhu standing outside. RK couldnt help but chuckle seeing her standing outside now knowing that why exactly she stood there.

"I thought you have taken your revenge.." he said smiling slightly.

"Until I am around you I will keep striving to harm you" Madhu said defiantly.

"I just went in to give the contract we had written.. about kapoor's and bhatia's deal.." he told her. Madhu looked at him dumbstruck. She hadn't expected that.

RK smiled and walked past her. "You dont need to stand there anymore... I would tell you myself.." he said turning slightly from her back. And then walked off.

RK was sitting now in his cabin as he rested his head on the back of his chair as he remembered that fateful day.

Flashback

RK was running up the stairs of a building with a gun in his hand. The men came running to stop him but he would punch them or throw them aside. He had come to know about Bhatia's location after years and he was not letting that man go away that easily. He reached the terrace after fighting and struggling with a lot of men. He found Bhatia standing at the terrace scared at his wits' end and his associates with him too.

RK pointed the gun at him, straight at his chest.

"Count your last seconds Bhatia!! I will give the taste of your own medicine.." he was about to pull the trigger when Shamsher Malik, Bhatia's right hand in business intervened.

"I wont let you harm him till my last breath.." he said as he ran to RK and changed the direction of the gun. RK struggled with him as he tried to keep an eye on Bhatia. But taking advantage, Bhatia ran away. RK shouted at Malik to leave him but he didnt.

"I told you I wont let you harm him till my last breath.." Malik said smiling as he saw Bhatia had run away now.

RK had blood burning in him. He looked at the tearrace door and then at Malik. He clenched his teeth in anger.

"I wont let that last long.." he said in a pressured voice and then pointed the gun at Malik's chest and shot him. "You dont deserve any better!" He screamed and ran away to the door following Bhatia.

He almost reached him and held his shirt from behind but just then there came some other men. It all caused chaos and Bhatia got a chance to run away. He sat in the car waiting for him at te door.

RK ran behind the car to some distance but in the end tired he had to give up. He stared at the road where his car went away and screamed in anger. He turned around to find Sultan standing there.. he had his blood boiling with anger by now.

"You? Why are you here..?" He shouted.

"RK I thought I would help.." he said in a low guilty tone.

RK looked at him confused and then his gaze fell on the men standing behind him. "Ohh you sent these men.." he said in anger..

"RK you needed back up.." Sultan tried to clarify.

"I almost had him Sultan! What back up are you talking about..? He escaped because of the chaos this so called back up created!"

"Dont worry RK we will find him.." Sultan said trying to to be hopefull.

"No!! No we.. I will find him. I dont need you!" RK shouted as he held his collar.

"But RK we have been together always.." Sultan protested not believing.

"We won't be now.. I can kill my enemy.. I will find him.." he screamed again. "From now on Stay away.. I don't need you" he said in a dangerously low tone.

Sultan looked at him hurt but RK felt the least. He turned and walked away.

"Fine!! We are ended.. Never expect anything from me now" Sultan screamed from behind but RK didnt pay any heed and walked off.

RK opened his eyes as he heard a knock at his door.

"Yes.." he called out. It was the peon who had got his tea. He kept the tea and went away

RK took in a deep breath. So much had happened that day. His break up with Sultan, Bhatia running away and he killed Shamsher Malik. He didnt even realize that time that killing him would come back to him after so many years.
