Sanjay Gupta had said in Jan 2014 that his next film is a HOLLYWOOD production and is a remake of a foreign film.

From what we know,we can deduce that it is most probably a remake of superhit and acclaimed Korean film,"Seven Days"

Trailer of that film:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YLPG6oU8Pp0

Actors:Aishwarya rai,Irrfan Khan,John Abraham

Director:Sanjay Gupta

Writers:Sujoy Ghosh,Sanjay Gupta

Produced by a big LA studia

Synopsis: Female lawyer(Aishwarya)has always won her cases. However, her winning streak and her talent eventually become her downfall, as her little daughter gets kidnapped one day. The culprit doesn't demand any ransom, but wants her to legally represent a criminal(John abraham), who seems to be getting the death penalty for the murder of a young woman. She just has a few days to convince the jury of innocence, the man she has to get out of jail to see her daughter again. Getting a helping hand from a cop(Irrfan Khan) who is under investigation, she chases after all evidence she can find...

The film has lots of twists and turns. The reviews say it always keeps one guessing and has a BIG twist at the end.Kahaani's Sujoy Ghosh who is writing the script will do great there now...and will keep it realistic and gritty.

Sanjay gupta may not be the best director but he a pro at this genre. His films are stylish. And atleast better than masala directors like Rohit shetty, murgadoss etc.Back then, when Tarantino saw 'Kaante' he called the film better than his original 'Reservoir Dogs'.That is one compliment!I hope he does justice..the film does seem to have a great story. Sanjay gupta's last film SAW was a CLEAN HIT!!

The lead role is kickass.A very challenging and demanding role,Aishwarya will do full justice. She is an excellent actress,no doubt!!Can't wait to see her rock.

Hollywood's SUMMIT ENTERTAINMENT had bought the rights of the original for $ 1 Million. So they ought to be the producers of Jazbaa. So it is a BIG film afterall!

The most exciting and most awaited female oriented film!!

CANNOT WAIT to see one and only Queen Bee of Indian cinema back! 😃

Though not confirmed..90% chances of this film being the one.

I'm not a fan of Gupta's films so though I'm happy Ash is returning I'm hoping this is the right choice. She turned down big films with Farah Khan, Gowariker, Raghaven but instead is doing a solo. Respect for that.
Has anyone seen Gupta's films and if so which ones did you like if any?

Aradhya's Baa would play a jazz singer cum lawyer. Or a judge; demoted.

I did see Shootout at Wadala. Not awful, too violent for my taste but Gupta does have an eye for shooting scenes

I love When Aish fans mention Mohenjodaro, HNY and all that movies supposedly offered to Aish in every Jaaz-Baa thread.

I can feel their pain 😆

Actually, I'm not disappointed she didn't do HNY. If anyone goes back I never wanted her to do it because I don't like loudmouth Farah Khan.
AG's film I'm not sure. Seems like more a HR vehicle so we'll see if it was a mistake to refuse.

And fans mention it because there are obnoxious fans of others who love to throw out she's wasn't offered any big films when facts are she has.

What pain? I'm glad she turned down those movies. That's why i love and respect her. Aish never cared BO numbers, she cared quality. Jazbaa is a performance oriented movie, unlike HNY which looks like a crapfest.

Mani's film was either shelved or delayed. No one is saying anything and its very frustrating.
