Curfew did not work with adult criminals, why will it work with children? Anything which is restraining has a limited usefullness..

I believe it would be better to educate them on the dangers of it, in a practical manner... allow them to understand the concept rather than forcing them to..
That's the whole point of teaching children with personal experience. You and I both know that we've never listened to our parents repeated lectures which is why it's pointless trying to reinforce anything if children are ignorant at some point. What would you do if you didn't have a curfew? You'd go around and try to see what actually happens at night, when you find out it's boring since everyone's asleep during that time, you'd come back. So what's the point of being out there? Nothing. And did you need a reinforced curfew? No.

I think you're missing out on the personal experience part as a whole.
Belive it or not, I actually do listen to my parent's long lectures and that's why I have not stayed out past my cerfew. But I understand that there are kids who don't and then rebel.

Yes,children need to have thier own experiences. But there are so many experiences that kids don't need. Ok,some may think it's pointless staying out so late and avoid doing it again. But,how about the ones who still go out and then get into trouble? The innocent ones might be the ones who get robbed or stabbed for no reason. And then the misbehaved kids who do the robbing and the stabbing.

God forbid this ever happens, but how would you feel if someone you knew let thier kids 'have thier own experience' and then end up being really badly hurt or even worse. How would you feel about your opinion then?

Parents need to work together with the youth schedule and be ALOT more strict with some kids. And I am very sure this could work!

Adults and children are a whole different thing. The kids can be controled by thier parents, but there is no one controling the criminals.

Educating?Simply educating children on such matters is not going to work. How much have they educated us on drugs and alchohol abuse in our school. But still,so many children go out and get high and drunk and waste thier life on such thing...because no one is stopping them, only 'informing' them.

I just think, why can't educating them and restraining them be at work together?
