After successful collaborations in the past, with films like Being Cyrus (2005) and Cocktail (2012), director Homi Adajania and Saif Ali Khan were set to work together for the third time. But, we have come to know that the film in question, which was apparently a romantic comedy, has been shelved.
It was reported earlier that Saif and Homi were planning to shoot the film in Australia in November, and were yet to finalise the female lead. "It was based on an international script, and Saif and Homi's team had loved it. They were planning to acquire the rights for the film. But, that didn't happen as there were many legalities involved. So the makers decided to shelve the project," says a source.
When contacted, Saif confirms the news, saying, "The film is off as of now, since we didn't get the rights for it."
This is Saif 's second film that hasn't materialised in the recent past; the first one was his business partner Dinesh Vijan's directorial venture, which was expected to have Parineeti Chopra opposite him.
