I think Gauri never liked Jagat and that's why she couldn't be compatible with him. If you truly love a person you would ignore all their bad habits. All she wanted was the BH daughter in law status which she couldn't ever get after the child marriage or even after their illegal marriage. Even now she wanted to be included in their havan and teej festival...her priority even now was to be BH DIL rather than JAgat's wife.
