In my perception it is.

This movie didnt have grand sets not colourful vibe. Just had a story that needed to be told.

One of the most critically acclaimed films of 90's. Missed out on major awards in competition to Raja Hindustani. This is Manisha's show here. She was superb all way throughout the film. Salman equally good and one of the best showing his acting capability. Nana Patekar and Seema Biswas were just brilliant. Amazing story with good cinematography and direction

& soundtrack was underrated. But here is the best romantic song ever for me.

Do you consider this as SLB's best work? HDDCS was equally good but this better in terms of performances

HDDCS was his best work, followed by Guzaarish, Khamoshi, and Devdas.

Yes. I didn't like HDDCS or Devdas or Ram Leela. Way too much hamming. Guzarish is a snoozefest and I'm someone that likes slow movies. So yea. There.😆

Nana and the Bandit Queen lady were awesome. I really can't remember her name right now. But that kid who played little Manisha stole the show for me. 👍🏼

I knew this was one of your fav films of 90's. But i reckon if compared the direction of all his films. Khamoshi comes on top as it never had grand sets to cover it's flaws 😆

Lady's name Seema Biswas. Amazing actress. National awaard winner. She was in Bhoot, Pinjar, Ek HAseena thi & Vivah too.

Ahh yes Seema Biswas, thanks. I knew that. She was in Water too. What a brilliant actress.

I love that toh phir aao pyar mein jalaye dil song. It's so uplifting and underrated. And Aaj mein Uppar was pretty much an anthem back then.
