I asked my professor about this image and she clearly said to me she is not JODHA. I said that its caption is akbar with maryam uz zamani begum. She again said that this pic may have been misunderstood. For many scholars maryam was christian so they may have been misconstrued Mary and Maryam uz Zamani and intermingled them. SHE IS NOT JODHA. I wrote what i asked my professor. She gave me many facts to prove she is not Jodha. Please don't attack me for anything. I have no intentions to create any debate here. This dress is a CORSET.
The facts she gave:
1- The dressing is neither mughal nor rajput.
2- The dress is a corset.
3- The name Maryam uz Zamani is refuted among scholars. Some say Maryam was christian though Maryam uz Zamani was Jodha Bai. Western Scholars claim this pic of christian wife of Akbar, Maryam, Maybe spanish or Portugese. This is also refuted.
4- Jodha would never dress this explicitly even for a painting(Her own opinion).
