I asked my professor about this image and she clearly said to me she is not JODHA. I said that its caption is akbar with maryam uz zamani begum. She again said that this pic may have been misunderstood. For many scholars maryam was christian so they may have been misconstrued Mary and Maryam uz Zamani and intermingled them. SHE IS NOT JODHA. I wrote what i asked my professor. She gave me many facts to prove she is not Jodha. Please don't attack me for anything. I have no intentions to create any debate here. This dress is a CORSET.

The facts she gave:

1- The dressing is neither mughal nor rajput.

2- The dress is a corset.

3- The name Maryam uz Zamani is refuted among scholars. Some say Maryam was christian though Maryam uz Zamani was Jodha Bai. Western Scholars claim this pic of christian wife of Akbar, Maryam, Maybe spanish or Portugese. This is also refuted.

4- Jodha would never dress this explicitly even for a painting(Her own opinion).

But she did say MARYAM UZ ZAMANI WAS JODHA'S NAME.

One more thing, she said the dressing is the pic is neither mughal nor rajput. She said she gotta be the portugese wife of akbar and hence the name mariam is used for her in the pic. She is not jodha, she was absolutely sure of that.

You made a post it's very good.Whatever info you are giving is also good and we know your intentions are also good.But why to bring Abhay's name.? He is a very simple boy ,he takes pains to find this information .Its we who believe him and his hardwork and he never goes asking us to do so.

And people who believe Abhay are as matured as him ,who accept everybody's POV.

Guys mariam uz zamani was the same rajput princess of amber who had changed jalal into akbar and what may be her true name the personality not gonna change and mostly we know her as jodha the name may not be true but the personality is true and we love her personality not her name right

It is pointless to ask any professor about historical facts related to Akbar. Very few of them agree with each other.
