Colors' latest offering Udann, produced by Dhaval Gada and Guruodev Bhalla depicts the tale of the spirited little girl Chakor (Spandan Chaturvedi) who is mortgaged to the rich zamindars even before her birth, which is when she is in the womb of her mother. Udann promises to create an awareness about the social issue of bonded labour which is prevalent even today in many parts of India.

With Chakor's destiny being written even before her birth, there will be a new family who would go on to play a very important role in the upbringing of Chakor.

Yes, in due course of time, the Rawat family will make an entry into the show. Headed by the very practical man Prabhakar Rawat, the family will comprise of his wife, son, daughter-in-law and grandson. Prabhakar who would be a close friend of Kamal Narayan Singh (Sai Ballal) would be entrusted the job of bringing up Chakor. Hence, soon after birth, Chakor would be taken by the Rawat family to their hometown.

To essay the role of Prabhakar Rawat, noted actor Vijay Aidasani has been roped in. Aidasani needs no introduction, and has done as many as 100 TV projects in central roles. Starting from Shanti, to Parivartan, Andaaz, Parampara, Ardhangini, Ek Din Achanak, CID, Preeto, Dhoond Legi Manzil Humein, Phir Subah Hogi, the man has done varied roles on TV. He will now essay the role of the good Samaritan Prabhakar Rawat.

Child artist Yash Sehgal who will be seen essaying the younger version of Ranbir Kapoor in the upcoming movie Bombay Velvet has been roped in to play the grandson of Aidasani. Yash's character will be named Aditya, and he would be a smart, intelligent eight years old kid. He would be very impressed with the intellect that the young Chakor would have.

When contacted, Vijay Aidasani confirmed the news stating, "Yes, I am going to enter Colors' Udann very soon. I will play the friend of Kamal Narayan. This is all I can say at the moment."

Yash Sehgal's mother Anjana too confirmed that her son is part of the new Colors' show.

We hear that the new family will start shoot very soon, and their entry is expected to happen in the first week of September.
