When Rangrasiya started on Colors, Sanaya Irani made a statement which stated that she will be shocked if the show doesn't work. Well it's not even a year (launched on December 30, 2013) and we hear that the show is shutting shop already, on September 18 or 19.

Well we don't blame them; it's best to do away with shows that don't work and introduce new soaps that click with the audience, right? So coming back to the question - Why didn't Rangrasiya work in spite of having brilliant actors like Sanaya and Ashish Sharma?

Here's five reasons why we believe the daily soap is being called off...

#A redundant storyline which is probably similar to ten other shows already on air or have been in the past.

# Since it launched with Beintehaa - there is tough competition and constant comparison. While the TRP rating between the two shows have been almost similar, last week Rangrasiya dropped by a few numbers.

#While the story is situated in Rajasthan - their dialect was not a match to the region. Where's the authenticity, people?

#The time slot of Rangrasiya coincides with two other very popular shows on Hindi GEC - Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai on Star Plus and Qubool Hai on Zee TV. With that line-up it's obviously very difficult to create space.

#In desperate need for ratings, they killed Paro (Sanaya Irani) to introduce a modern version of her. While we are open to believing in doppelgangers of one person around the world, this was taking it to the extreme.

Well we hope the makers take a cue from this and come back with something more interesting.

Yes, Sanaya was so right!

#1 it would have been a shock if RR would have been a flop... But thank God! It was not!
We got a unique story, where a small village girl falls for a man, who has no heart, sounds similar? I dont think so. A coy village girl went and proposed a man, whom she believed is her man in front of hundreds of people. We got a girl who fought for what she believed (not I know it all) . We got a woman who decided to leave her love, so that her love can live. we got a woman who made a mature, heartless major jump on the track. For what? for her innocent love. We got a woman, who no matter what, fought for her husband's better future, and even if that meant fighting against him, she did. We got a woman who gave her life for her child. We got to see a man who was so possessively in love with his love that leaving without her seemed impossible for him. We got a man who was so broken , but still, with the help of his love, managed to pull his broken pieces together. We got to see a man, who managed to change because of his love and for his son. And this all, I have never seen in any 10 shows which are already on air or have been in the past.

#2- Seeing the trp of Color's newly launched and 2 months back launched shows, RR was quite good TRP wise.. And who the hell compares RR and BI ... there's any comparison? Nominated in 5 technical categories and the leads got the nomination in Lead Actors category in the event which is considered a Film fare of Indain television.

#3 - Ananya---- despite of leaving in Mumbai and 10 years abroad, what a dialogue she delivered in Rajasthani accent. Sanaya- Not fluent in hindi and what a job she did as a Rajasthani village girl.

#4- With two hit and long running shows in competition, RR did a brilliant job for a channel like colors.

#5- While we are open to believing in doppelgangers of one person around the world, this was taking it to the extreme🤣 I guess RR was the first Indian show of the article writer

Omg I could only laugh at facts mentioned in the article. I really dont know what the author was thinking when he wrote down these facts. Defo attention seeker
RR is defintely not a flop.It is a unique story and am glad I came across such a story to see or else would have nothing to see on TV. It is a huge hit internationally. Even if international ratings are NOT taken into account, it did quite well for Colors despite NO PROMOTIONS, NO REPEATS. It was in the same TRP range as other well promoted shows in the channel. So citing TRP's is like such a stupid and lame excuse. I dont buy the crap that the show was expensive and blah. If that is the case the channel should have made more efforts to promote the show and not abandon it half way through.
Plus it is medias favourite topic. Why only mention RR in all articles? A way to increase your website ratings I suppose.
I rest my case
RR is and will always be one of the best shows I have seen on TV. Kudos to sanish.
