In the initally episodes they showed her that she was a strong girl who sets her mind into and she fulfills and determind. Chirpy and challenged a shrud person to give up his intention of taking the school..
Next her entry in Radio City.. Honest and hardworking was in truoble for unknow reasons but stood up and came out clean.
Love came her way but due to some factors she was'nt able to get it but her inner self and faith in Gaanu Bhaiyya helped her confront her love and she won it back.
Now with memroyloss mode she has become life less.. She feels like in a deep sleep and has'nt woken up...

Your analysis is quite good, but there is one more point regarding the character of Kaajjal. She has been shown as a ziddi and obstinate girl from the beginning of the serial. 😛
At times, she tend to be ziddi for the wrong reasons. She is the kind of girl who does something really stupid and always uses her heart more than her brain.
In the beginning of the serial, she had fights with Dev, because she felt that Dev was going against general humanity and being business-like, when he was trying to buy the land of the school. At that time, she was using the heart more than brain. But then that was for the right cause. But her insulting Dev all the time and being rude with him in the beginning was too impulsive a way to behave. Her turning the whole of Mussourie against him was not right.
Kaajjal once again used her heart and behaved foolishly, when she sent Dev to jail accusing that he was responsible for the accident of her father. She didn't think twice before jumping into such a conclusion.🤢
She didn't pay heed to the words of Dev's friend or his mother when they said that Dev wouldn't do such a thing and there too she was impulsive and not thinking logically. For even a moment, she didn't want to ask Dev, if he was actually the person behind it.
Her father had to come to senses and tell her that Dev was the one who saved him. Just imagine, if Satya had died after that accident without regaining consciousness. She would have dragged Dev to the court and even fought until she got for him a death sentance for the accident which somebody else did. Wouldn't she then have committed a huge mistake?
She again acted impulsively when she went and told NT that Dev was not Dev but Raju Rangeela. She doesn't even think of double-checking if it was really Dev acting as Raju Rangeela or not. By telling NT such a thing, she made NT doubt Dev even if it be for a few minutes. It is true that she is an honest and soft-hearted girl, but she also tend to act foolishly and take wrong steps all the time.
Be it with memory or in a time of memory loss, Kaajjal continues to behave stupidly and act impulsively. Now she is taking her next wrong step by going to Aditya and moving away from Dev and thinking that Dev is going to cause harm to her.
Each time, Kaajjal takes a wrong step, she later on goes on to regret her move and feel guilty. So she would take this wrong step again and then want to mend things once again. Her character has many virtues, but her foolishness and impulsiveness are her vices. She is a strong-willed girl, but her actions were mostly bringing harm or problems to somebody or the other though she doesn't want to hurt anybody.
She never thought twice before jumping into something or reaching conclusions like when she reached the conclusion that Dev was behind Satya's accident or Dev was in real Raju Rangeela or Aditya is her husband. All these were wrong conclusions and each time she had to lateron realise that she was wrong or will realise that she is wrong.
When compared to Kaajjal, Dev is infact just the opposite of what she is.
Dev is a kind of person who uses his brain more than heart. So we don't find him taking any wrong decision, but acting with caution and all the time thinking what next to do. Dev has so far acted with intelligence and using his logic. When he wanted to buy the land at Mussourie, he was a businessman with a profit motive. Then we found him to be a just person, when he made Kaajjal winner of RJ hunt, because any other person after all those insults and slaps wouldn't let such a girl win the contest. As time passed by we started to see Dev as an intelligent person but even his impulsive move was based on logic.
The way Kaajjal insulted him was too much and that was why it took time for Dev to calm down. But the goodness in him was shown, when he came to release her when she was jailed. He also proved himself to be a kind-hearted and just person, when after terminating her job as RJ, he re-appointed her back to job, after he came to know that she was innocent.
I don't feel the creative writers have changed anything about the character of Kaajjal. From the beginning itself Kaajjal was shown as an honest, strong-willed girl filled with some element of impulsiveness and stupidity. Her only impulsive move, which was the right one was her chosing Dev as the rajkumar of her dreams and her move to make Dev agree that he loved her too and chosing him to be her love interest. Atleast that brought into her life, one sensible,caring and intelligent man like Dev Prathap Singh, right? 😳
