Antara. That was the only thought that was running through my mind tonight. I looked at her, sleeping peacefully next to me.

I had decided earlier today that I would not got Delhi, not without Antara. I wanted to be here for her. I was her best friend and her husband. It was my responsibility to be there for her, especially when she needed me the most.

I brushed the hair away from her face and slowly kissed her forehead. I would never, ever leave her alone. No matter what happens.

The next morning I wake up with the sound of Raghu's alarm clock. I sat up and rubbed my eyes and looked around the room.

Raghu was nowhere in sight. I looked at the clock next to me. It was 9 AM. I was supposed to go with Papa to the doctor at 9:30. I was going to be late.

As I jumped up from the bed, I saw a note on my nightstand.

Don't worry about Papa. I took him to the doctor. Dad has gone to work and mom's at the mandir so I made something for you to eat. It's in the kitchen. See you soon

Raghu

Of course Raghu would be the one person to help me out in a time like this. He wasn't my best friend for no reason now, was he? I smiled and got ready.

By the time I came back home with Papa, Antara was awake and working in the kitchen. She was wearing a simple peach sari and she definitely looked gorgeous. I couldn't take my eyes off of her.

"Antara," her Papa called from behind me. I watched her turn around and attend to her Papa. There was a mix of happiness and sadness on her face. And why wouldn't there be? But I hated seeing her like this. I always wanted to see her smiling and happy, not sad.

"Antara, how about this? You make some of your awesome pakoras? I really feel like having some today," I said, sitting on the counter. "Hmm," she said. "How about I help you?" I said. "You and help me in the kitchen?" she asked with her mouth wide open. "Mooh band kar lo, nahi toh maakhi andar chale jayi gi," I said and shut her mouth.

"Okay but are you sure you want to help me? I mean, you're serious, right?" she asked. "Of course I'm sure. Now tell me what to do," I said. She handed me a knife and some potatoes. "Cut these," she ordered.

"Raghu! Where are you? I sent you to get the besan 5 minutes ago!" I hollered.

I couldn't wait any longer so I went to the walk-in pantry on the other side of the kitchen. I found Raghu completely covered in besan. I tried to stifle a laugh.

"Raghu, I asked you to bring the besan, not bathe in it," I said. In the end, I couldn't control it anymore and started laughing.

I know the perfect way to make Antara laugh.

I picked up the besan and dropped a little bit on myself. I heard Antara voice and dropped some around me and made it look like it fell.

"Raghu, I asked you to bring the besan, not bathe in it," she said while stifling her laugh. I was glad that I finally managed to make her smile.

"Umm, yeah. Here," I said and handed her the box. "I'll go clean up."

After I left the pantry, I turned back and saw her laughing.

Mission accomplished.

"Papa no more pakoras for you! They aren't good for your health and you've had enough already," Antara said, scolding her father. "Okay beta, okay," he said and put the pakora back into the plate. I was admiring Antara.

"Raghu, you too. You've had enough," she said while looking at me. "Abhi toh bahut kuch baaki hai," I said, not talking my eyes off of her. "What? How many pakoras are you going to eat?" she asked. "Huh. I'm, uh, I'm done," I said and stood up with my plate. "Okay," she said and turned her attention black to her father.

"Antara," I called out. She turned from the cupboard. "Yeah," she replied. "Can you come here? I need to talk to you," I said. She nodded and came to sit next to me on the bed.

"Antara, I was thinking that about not going to Delhi. I mean, I can't leave you alone here, it's completely unfair to you. You're my wife now and we've promised to go through all of life's obstacles with each other. I'm not going to back out and leave you to face all of this on your own. Antara, you really mean a lot to me and I need your support for this decision. Do you agree with me?"

"Raghu, I don't want you to leave this opportunity for me. And I think that it shouldn't be just the two of us making this decision. Your parents should be a part of this as well," she said. "Alright Antara. I'll talk to dad in the morning," I said. She nodded and moved to her side of the bed. Slowly, we both drifted to sleep.

A/N: Sorry for taking so long to update! I know that's completely unfair but I was caught up with some personal stuff and just couldn't find the time to write. Anyways, this was a pretty uneventful chapter but something pretty shocking is going to happen next. Any guesses?
